Dec 17th 2010 5:07PM Would just like to add - that is no ordinary cute puppet. That is "sackboy", known from the insanely popular PS3 game LittleBigPlanet. Here's a 60 second trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGzOKbVC2r8

Nokia E73 Mode review (Engadget)

Jun 14th 2010 12:58PM I've been using an E71 for just over a year now. What a lot of people don't get is that there's a wealth of third-party apps that make up for the phone's shortcomings in a big way.

I'll just list out a few that I have installed:
- Web browser: Opera Mobile (full web browser), Opera Mini (to save data), and the excellent Skyfire for great flash video support
- Email: the official Gmail app works great for text-based email
- Chat/Skype: Nimbuzz or Fring both work great and support Skype over 3G calling
- Mail For Exchange for syncing google calendar and contacts
- JoikuSpot to turn it into a WiFi hotspot
- Shazam

... and a couple others. The Ovi Store carries most of these, but some you'll have to Google.

WhatTheFont vs. IdentifyFonts -- what's the better service? (Download Squad)

Jun 12th 2010 8:48AM Honestly, identifont is the best thing since sliced bread. Everyone should be using that.

Google updates Nexus One page, tells Verizon customers to get a Droid Incredible instead (update: the Verizon Nexus One is dead) (Engadget)

Apr 26th 2010 8:45AM You know... the ONE positive thing I can take from all this is that Google is showing tremendous support for its partners in the Android world. I remember reading the articles claiming Google has somehow 'betrayed' its Android partners like HTC and Motorola. Great to see the G spreading the love.

Apr 15th 2010 5:53PM I know it's just another rebadge job from a Panny... but dear god I love the retro styling and that beautifully prestigious red dot.

Most of the world's electronics are made in China...can we continue to trust our tools? (Download Squad)

Feb 6th 2010 3:23PM Sensationalist and paranoid. The software on devices such as iPhones etc are not controlled on modified by the Chinese. Even so, whenever a firmware update is pushed, thats directly from the OEM, not some crummy Chinese government-controlled factory with an agenda against you personally.

PPG study says silver continues nine-year reign as most popular auto paint color (Autoblog)

Oct 3rd 2009 11:00AM I have to say that, if you don't look hard, VW (and German cars in general) tend to be found in plain bland colours. That said, my '02 VW Polo (dont laugh - its great) is purple

First Drive: 2010 Buick LaCrosse looks to breathe life into old brand (Autoblog)

Jul 16th 2009 4:01PM American or not, that is one UGLY car. It looks cheap, most especially the front. What is it with recent Cadillacs and this Buick. Its like all the designers had to work with was a ruler. Where are the flowing, beautiful, curvy lines?
