May 26th 2010 9:37PM Excellent, excellent tip! Thanks!
May 14th 2010 8:04PM No comments? Hmmm. Well, anyway, I am also a fan.
May 14th 2010 4:47PM If this deal expires and you still want Google voice (or if you don't have an edu address) and you can't find anyone to give you an invite for free, you can always find invites for sale on ebay for three or four dollars
May 13th 2010 9:34PM I will add that a filter would be nice (so you could filter out "fashion" from "women", or whatever). The ability to search multiple tags at the same time would also be nice.
May 13th 2010 9:30PM I typed in "women". The results come up with 20 images per page. Below is a list of the images, with an eye toward "porn"-ishness.The first page: --- 1 erotic, 1 slightly erotic, 18 non-erotic ---- 1 old photo of Dali with several naked women in the background. Not erotic.- 1 woman naked, on her stomach. Bare bottom and side-boob visible. Erotic.- 2 women with no shirt, bare back to the camera. Artsy, not particularly erotic.- 1 woman with nipples visible through tight shirt. Slightly erotic, but not "porn".- 2 suggestive shots of women in tight clothing. Artsy.- 13 other pictures with clothed women in artsy shots. Definitely not porn. The second page:--- 1 retro erotic, 1 duplicate erotic, 18 non-erotic ---- 5 duplicate images from first page, including side-boob image.- 1 woman sitting bare breasted on a couch. Reminds me of a Playboy photo from the 70's.- 14 new non-porn images. The third page:--- 2 slightly erotic, 18 non-erotic ---- 2 suggestive images of women in lingerie- 1 duplicate image. Not porn.- 17 new non-porn images. The fourth, fifth and sixth pages had no porn. I gave up at this point.
May 4th 2010 2:12PM Its not just you... I also find the marketing style funny. :D Its the combination of the Borat-esque accent with the violin/synth montage music, I think
May 4th 2010 11:50AM With the Pdf-Xchange viewer, the default is to always prompt the user, asking if you want to allow the launch action or allow the file attachment opening. With the latest build, you can change the preferences (in the security tab) to NEVER launch executables nor open attachments.Adobe I believe has a similar prompting system.
May 3rd 2010 10:47AM I, for one, am getting pretty sick of Apple. One: I would like to get a smart phone. I own an iPod Touch, so I'd like to get an iPhone in order to use my apps. However I HATE that you have to send in your device to get a battery changed. I HATE locked-in carriers and the nanny-attitude towards the app-store. I don't want to have to jailbreak/unlock my device just to get the service and features that should be available normally! So instead I think I'll get a phone that runs Android. Two: I would like to get an e-reader. I'm tempted by the iPad, but for the same reasons as above, I think I'll get a Kindle or a Nook.--------------------I know this is all old-hat, but I needed to vent. Sorry y'all.
Apr 26th 2010 7:09PM Another one for the 'Kinda Cool' List:Win + Space ---- Makes all of your windows transparent. Lasts as long as you hold down the Windows key. For when you just HAVE to look at your desktop wallpaper, I guess. :-)
Apr 26th 2010 9:22AM Be careful. In some (12) states, you must get the consent of EVERY party involved in a phone conversation in order to legally record it. So if EITHER you OR the company's call center is based in, say, Pennsylvania, you must get their permission first.http://www.citmedialaw.org/legal-guide/recording-phone-calls-and-conversations
