Box.net increases storage quotas for both free and paid plans (Download Squad)

Oct 28th 2010 6:12PM Via referrals DropBox let's you get up to 10GB of free storage I think. Used to be up to only 3. Only problem is it's a pain to get people to use the referrals.

AT&T's bullish earnings report suggests iPhone exclusivity is almost over (Engadget)

Aug 8th 2010 11:54AM This would be awesome, especially with LTE planned to start rolling out this year.

On the other hand, this would be bull s**t. I just bought an iPhone 4 this year and now have to wait or pay a $325 fee to cancel it. Not to mention getting a new phone and activating a plan. If I had known it was coming I wouldn't have gotten it. My whole family now has phones on Verizon and it would be great to be able to use mobile to mobile with them and not use up my Anytime minutes.

I know, I know. This is how the technology world works. Sure. But it would have been nice to have fair warning.

Apple keeps antennagate alive with Droid X's 'kill switch' (video) (Engadget)

Jul 23rd 2010 7:45PM @Peter F or you could type John in the contact list search bar. Whatever. I personally have an iPhone 4 and love it. Have nothing really against the Droids. It would be my second choice.

Nokia Kinetic concept revealed in prototype form (Engadget)

Jul 23rd 2010 1:07PM It's neat looking and all, sure, but the main cool thing is that it can stand up on it's own in different positions right? Well to me that just sounds like a gimmick. Flipping it down to dismiss something? What if you knock it down on accident? Wouldn't be enough for me to get the phone. Just like how I think the Evo's kickstand "feature" is pretty stupid. Gimmicky.

Handy Light for iPhone's dirty little secret: tethering (update) (Engadget)

Jul 21st 2010 2:15AM Hellz yes!! Got it before it was pulled. Caught it close to the end too. Tested it out and it works great. Kinda wish there was a way to keep working in the background but then again that's just not possible with the Multitasking API so I'm not complaining. Tethering for a buck instead of twenty a month? Hell yes.

Adobe FlashTime to bring peer-to-peer video calls to Android (video) (Engadget)

Jul 20th 2010 12:19PM @kbubp Probably. I wouldn't be surprised. I just hope that even if these different Mobile OS's choose to have different video chat services instead of working together on one that at least they'll be able to go cross platform. My sister and brother-in-law both have droids and I'd love to be able to video call them from my iPhone 4. Oh well. Maybe I'll be able to with Skype when they add in the feature 2 years from now. -_-

Jul 20th 2010 12:11PM Seriously, I can understand wanting to make your own thing but come on!! They could have at least TRIED to be original with the name.

Adobe gets ready to release Air 2.5 for Android, plus FlashTime video chat app (Download Squad)

Jul 19th 2010 6:07PM FlashTime? Are you kidding me? That name is so original!!! Urgh.
Couldn't they have used the FaceTime standard thing that Apple made open so that I could call my family members with Android phones from my iPhone 4?? Of course not. That would be way too easy for everyone, wouldn't it!?
