May 27th 2009 3:18PM HPs Mini Me Linux is terrible. There are no packages in the package manager. For example my friend complained her videos wouldn't play properly...so I said that's easy install VLC. So I went into the Add/Remove programs section (because the console is disabled...) and the only multimedia package was the one that was already installed (the Linux media center - mac ripoff one can't think of it's name)...so I was naturally disappointed at what appears to be turning linux into something that's not capable of any customization...it's the worst linux implementation ever....that OS is frankly a joke (why disable the terminal EVER!).
Apr 27th 2009 12:30PM Nope, that's been in Google Reader for a while now - I follow/subscribe it.
Apr 20th 2009 11:39AM I wouldn't have anything against Silverlight if it would actually run on Linux. How can it run on a Mac (Unix), but Microsoft can't make it run on Linux?
Mar 24th 2009 2:53PM Won't people just use Pandora? Seems like a good way to lose customers. Although I really don't think that they have ads or anything like Pandora does...
Mar 6th 2009 10:50AM Screenshots:http://lightscreen.sourceforge.net/The master of OS screen shot apps. (Has a portable)Gimp is good and has portable as well.I personally like infraRecorder a lot more than imgBurn now. (OS and Portable)Why so many browsers, I'd opt for just FF (has an IE add-in) and Chrome. I think firefox used to have a web developer plug-in as well. Is it really necessary to test your page in that many browsers?VLC has a portable, and so does Pidgin.I'd recommend Google Reader personally because I am always on different computers and I don't need to be wasting memory on that because I have a browser open most times anyway. If your on Windows email client's generally are bad (Thunderbird is the best OS) except for Outlook and an Evloution port (but it's really slow - this is the Gnome email client).
Mar 5th 2009 10:49AM You honestly don't think that terrorists can afford Satellite imaging....get real. If they can missiles they can afford satellites...give me a break. Everyone thought it was a joke in England, but they find it necessary to do it here now, honestly?
Mar 5th 2009 10:41AM Better or worse than XBMC? I tried it and was left horribly in comparisons to Xbox Media Center.
Feb 4th 2009 12:36PM Everyone of my addons was allowed "updated" or already set to function. And if your really worried you can use Nightly Tester Tools (90% of the time updates won't affect it). PS this update includes updates to firefox that make updates work even better (such as Adblock-Plus).
Jan 13th 2009 2:34AM Oh, like boxee...just less cool.
Dec 31st 2008 5:33PM I would stick with Handbrake because it is Open Source now. It's pretty simple, but might lack a few features this one has. Still GNU is the way of the future.
