Widget Watch: Screenshot Plus (TUAW.com)

Nov 21st 2005 12:12PM I'm going with Phospher on this one. Sure, it's pretty, but it's far more time and resource-consuming than many other methods of screenshot, and provides no real new functionality.

Simplify your Mac (TUAW.com)

Nov 18th 2005 1:40PM Camino, NetNewsWire, Quicksilver, Adium. Everything else is just fluff. :)

Mac Pilot 2.0 opens up hidden OS X features (TUAW.com)

Nov 15th 2005 6:50PM Note that although "cut" is enabled, it doesn't actually cut. That is, turning on the feature merely maps the keyboard shortcut for "move to trash" to Cmd-x. So really, it enables "put file in the trash even though you think you're going to be able to paste it later" in the Finder.

ChangeShortName (TUAW.com)

Nov 15th 2005 12:38PM Thanks so much for this! Through a strange and complex twist of events, my account ended up being created by Apple, so my short username is my first and last name. The only problem is, that's not very short at all. I'd been toying with the idea of changing it, but it wasn't worth the effort until now.

Add a bookmark to almost anything with Hallon (TUAW.com)

Nov 11th 2005 2:13PM It's an interesting idea. I'm not sure if I'll ever end up actually using it, but this seems potentially very useful. Thanks for the heads up!

Camino 1.0 Beta 1 released (TUAW.com)

Nov 9th 2005 7:19PM " I agree on the extensions. I'll never go without Adblock again." I know this post is old enough that probably nobody is reading the comments at this point, but I thought I'd mention that Camino has built-in ad blocking. So there's no need for an Adblock extension for it.

Safari Gains in Browser Marketshare (TUAW.com)

Nov 9th 2005 7:16PM I second that Camino shout-out! :)

Camino 1.0 Beta 1 released (TUAW.com)

Nov 9th 2005 8:18AM I certainly think it's worth it. Seriously, 1.0b1 is fast and stable. Totally worth checking out.

83 Mac Web Browsers (TUAW.com)

Nov 8th 2005 6:12PM I swear by Camino, and oh how I love it. So much so that I even wrote about it: http://stridey.blogspot.com/2005/08/camino-why-i-love-it.html

Are you still using IE 5? (TUAW.com)

Oct 26th 2005 3:39PM I echo the "Camino is the way to go" comment. I think the last time I launched IE was when Tiger came out, to see if it even still launched.
