Forza 4 update raising level cap to 999 tomorrow (Joystiq)
Mar 5th 2012 5:21PM I hit 150 in about 6 weeks, to get to 999 would take at least 4 months, even if you raced all your waking hours.
They should have just concentrated on making the payoffs for winning races make sense, then they wouldn't have to fiddle with changing the level system.

Mar 5th 2012 4:36PM @ColorblindMonk Nothing.
I'm level 150. You get absolutely nothing except money past level 50 and the money isn't even that much.

Sony's Rohde: proprietary Vita cards 'completely necessary' to combat piracy (Joystiq)
Feb 21st 2012 10:21PM For the games that come on a card, I can understand this. For the storage cards, it just seems like Sony is pushing part of the true price of the Vita out of the main unit into the memory card.
I don't like it, but I can't blame them really. MS does the same with the 360, moving part of the price out into the overpriced hard drives. I don't like it, but it has done very well for MS, so Sony is probably smart to try the same thing.
How Turn 10 sources cars for (dis)play in Forza (Joystiq)
Feb 17th 2012 12:22PM @Z3R0B4NG I agree the track DLC hasn't been great in Forza. But I think that's just because they haven't done it well. They could do it well but they haven't.
I also mostly have silver. Which annoyingly means I can't join a car club (although I last reverted to silver while in a car club, now I can't unshare my cars) and can't buy cars at auction.
I switch cars and tracks a lot.
Honestly, rather than more cars or more tracks, I'd take special conditions racing next (rain, night, etc.).

Feb 17th 2012 12:17PM @scoddy I spent more time driving class E and F cars than almost anyone. I spent tons of time driving stock Civics, the Saturn Ion, etc. I did every race that requires a specific car (German SUV club, etc.!)
But the thing is I already have a lot of those kinds of cars if I just want to tune something up.
Why do I want a Pinto? Hell, at least give me a Mustang II. It's just galling to take my money and give me a Pinto. The 90s Impala SS is nice. Why do I need a Typhoon when the Syclone is in there already?
My point isn't that I don't like oddball cars. An Omni GLHS is a great idea and a Volvo 850R was my 2nd choice car when I bought a car in 1999 (I got an Audi instead, the 850 interior was ghastly, fixed in the otherwise near identical V70).
My point is that with the collection of cars they offer, you could get the few you want for far less than the price of the season pack, simply by avoiding the duds (like the Muscle Car pack).

Feb 17th 2012 1:39AM No, I was more wondering why they think anyone wants to drive a Pinto in Forza 4.
Cheapy D was right, the season pass for this thing is a dud. It's all cars so far (no tracks) and about 70% of the cars are retreads or stuff few would care about. You could buy the few good cars for the price of the season pass, or less.
