iAds uses iTunes history, location information to target advertising (TUAW.com)
Jul 8th 2010 10:37AM I don't see the problem with this tbh. Apple already have all this data about you anyway, so why not use it to give the user a better experience.
Before anyone starts, I realise having no ads at all would be a better experience, but if you have to have ads in an app, at least I would rather ads that are relevant to me.
Grooveshark's iPhone app is unbelievably awesome, but totally unapprovable (Download Squad)
Mar 2nd 2010 12:12PM Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but Apple have already approved an app that is very similar - Spotify.
Granted, I don't think Groovesharks content is legal, but the actual point made here, that apple wouldn't allow such functionality in an app is just wrong.

Hardly anyone calls it that though, because it is so stupid. It was changed to that just for the sake of having a long name.
I don't speak Welsh sadly (from the south, where hardly anyone speaks it), but am going to make an effort to learn when I get chance. It is good for the language and the country though. Thank you samsung.
More than half of UK devs happy with pay (Joystiq)
Mar 17th 2009 6:25AM lol, I really shouldn't try to type posts when I'm rushing.
$600 00 should be $60000
$22 should be £22k lol.
More than half of UK devs happy with pay (Joystiq)
Mar 16th 2009 9:20PM To be fair, if the pound hadn't gone down the crapper over the past year or so, the average would be around $600 00, which isn't that far from the American average. So it's not that bad. At £30k a year is still quite nice. Especially where I'm from the most people earn is $22 (and that's after 30 years in work).
BioShock's new (and secret) achievement (Joystiq Xbox)
Nov 11th 2007 1:28PM I've just started playing through the game again on hard (in order to get the remaining achievements) so I'll try this one out.
