Honda announces plans to sell plug-in hybrid and electric vehicle by 2012 (Autoblog)
Jul 21st 2010 5:21PM The FCX Clarity sure looks nice in white. Hope they start offering other colors soon as that burgundy color was never the prettiest color in the world.
Hope Honda does better with their next generation of hybrids then they are currently with the civic and insight.
ASUS U33Jc and U53Jc Bamboo Series laptops priced for UK consumption (Engadget)
Jul 20th 2010 1:48PM Even Canada has all three sizes available right now, so I am not sure what's taking you guys so long for a full review.
The only thing I would like to see on the U53JC is an option for blu-ray. I don't burn allot of DVD's anymore but I like the option of watching a blu-ray or two on a long trip
Netflix coming to Canada this fall (Engadget)

Not the beer. Overpriced, you bet your ass (and the Libs will lose the next provincial election for jacking up the price of beer to compensate fop the one place the HST would have actually led to a lower price), but at least it's alcohol in it unlike American Beer
AMD has record $1.65B second quarter, still loses a little money (Engadget)
Jul 16th 2010 9:21AM Just imagine where AMD would be without ATi. I have always wished that buy out had gone the other way with ATi taking over control of AMD since ATi is the only truly great part of AMD, and these days the only part keeping them afloat.
SLCD-equipped HTC Desire 'coming soon' to Telus (Engadget)
Jul 15th 2010 10:17PM @Neuralgia
Yeah, and since US Cellular is bigger then Telus, I would imagine they are getting the very same version Telus is getting.
But the shortage of AMOLED and the swapping of the screen to an SLCD seems to explain the delay since Telus has all but officially announced they were getting the desire for months now.
Reminder: we're live from Apple's iPhone 4 press conference tomorrow, 10AM PT / 1PM ET! (Engadget)
Jul 15th 2010 6:54PM @Meekermoloko
At least they can continue their two year product cycle and next years iPhone can still be called the [s] version.
Just this time the s in iPhone 4[s] will stand for signal instead of speed lol

Jul 15th 2010 6:50PM Yay! Free bumpers for all!!
Or you know, it's AT&T's fault plus you're holding it wrong. The iPhone is perfect dammit, it's the users that are flawed.
This just in, Fix for iPhone antenna issue coming June, 2011 in the form of iPhone 4s (s is for signal instead of speed this time)
SLCD-equipped HTC Desire 'coming soon' to Telus (Engadget)
Jul 15th 2010 5:17PM Well at least now we know what the delay was in getting it out the door, since it's been known for a long time that the Desire is coming.
Bell is getting a Galaxy S variant, hope this is enough to compete as the Desire is already getting old since it is merely a HTC branded Nexus One.
glad to see it finally getting close though, even if I am not interested in it personally.
Microsoft comes clean on doling out cash, free hardware to entice Windows Phone devs (Engadget)
Jul 14th 2010 6:01PM @Prevacator
Yeah, and I genuinely hope that Microsoft's efforts to woo developers in the phone industry works as well as showing console game developers the money to wrestle platform exclusivity away from the Japanese giants in the game industry.
I hope Windows Phone 7 reveals the iPhone as the modern day RAZR it is. I hope it forces Apple to change or face the same fate as Motorola who clung to the RAZR far to long.
Now if Nokia would just take this play out of Microsoft's playbook and get OVI store on track and make sure MeeGo is ready for prime time and polished for launch this year, then we as consumers can look forward to really great days ahead. MeeGo definitely has the potential to make Android an afterthought but it has to be ready to go from day one and Nokia and Intel have to throw major weight behind the platform. Otherwise, it's just going to be an also ran OS for geeks.
Microsoft comes clean on doling out cash, free hardware to entice Windows Phone devs (Engadget)
Jul 14th 2010 2:12PM I am glad Microsoft is aggressively going after developers for Windows Phone 7. Windows Phone 7 is shaping up to pull and X-Box 360 style upset in the market and Apple needs that kind of kick in the teeth to force them to improve just like Sony needed it in the game console industry
Competition is great
