ajaxTunes: Ajaxy music player widget (Download Squad)

Aug 11th 2006 6:29PM It's most likely a flash movie that uses flash's ExternalInterface to communicate, using javascript, with the flash movie. The funny thing is that ExternalInterface is synchronous, so unless there is something else going on, it's not even asynchronous therefore only leaving the "jax" as the XSPF playlists are in xml. Perhaps they are saying that the music manager and not the player is ajax?

Aug 7th 2006 1:00PM Frankly, I felt that some of their college football broadcasts were much better. For instance, the USC vs. ND game had much better picture quality and far less motion blocking.

Safari and IE 7, separated at birth? (TUAW.com)

Jun 26th 2005 8:16PM Ok, first of all, I'm not taking any sides here. I just think that most of you are horribly misinformed. Ok, yes, the way the new IE7 displays rss feeds is very similar to the was Safari displays it's feeds, but this isn't the "new techology" they are showing. If you guys watch the video at Channel 9 (mms://wm.microsoft.com/ms/msnse/0506/25055/RSS/rss_longhorn_platform_2005_MBR.wmv) you'll see that there is much more to longhorn and rss than just IE7. There is a whole rss subsystem built into the OS that ANY program can use, not just IE. Maybe you guys should do a little more research before making comments that make you look stupid.
