Apr 17th 2011 8:03PM I can expect the average Joe not to understand, but AB at least pretends to know the auto industry. They should know better that most of the images you see of cars these days are all renderings. Two companies using the same exact background isn't really that unheard, and it shouldn't really constitute as a "story".

If you don't want your employees running off to work for the competition, then you might *GOSH* have to pay them well enough and treat them well enough that they don't WANT to leave. But I know that kind of goes against the whole pro-company/anti-worker trend here in the US.

Apr 14th 2011 10:54AM I think its kind of like the difference between C5 to C6 Corvette... both good looking cars, but the C6 definitely took the (slightly bland/undefined) design ideas of the earlier one and turned it up a notch.

Apr 14th 2011 10:28AM I think Buick should be the only division that offers AWD.
FWD is perfectly fine for almost any situation, and by giving Buick an AWD option, that would help differentiate the brands better.

Apr 14th 2011 10:23AM I love the cat-and-mouse game that the spy shot photographers and car makers play.
I find it quite funny how they try to one-up each other in terms of either keeping the vehicle secret, or trying to expose the vehicle, but its still obviously a rather friendly competition.

Apr 14th 2011 10:17AM I am slightly surprised that someone that high up wasn't forced to sign a non-compete.
Then again, if this was Germany, they probably don't have such nonsense over there.

Apr 14th 2011 9:47AM I think it looks fantastic for a 4-door family sedan.
And I've seen spyshots of the entire interior over at C&D and that looks great as well.
About the only "issue" I have with the exterior styling is that it looks just a little bit too much like Buick's offerings. For instance, while the headlights are different, they look like the Regal's headlights. Similar deal with the foglight openings; they both cars have a similar rectangular shape. And while both cars look good and clearly wouldn't be confused for one another, it would be nice if they went in opposite styling directions.
I keep on going to the Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima... essentially the same car, but COMPLETELY different styling directions both inside and out. GM's sedans really need to be that different as well.
