Report: Medal of Honor could have lost US Army support with Taliban multiplayer (Big Download)
Oct 2nd 2010 12:48PM In real life when the Army goes on exercises they select some people to play the "terrorists" or opposing army. It's actually a good idea to be familiar with the techniques of asymmetric warfare from both sides - not that the US would ever need to use guerilla tactics because of invasion, but US soldiers might find themselves cut off from the main column & need to use improvised means to fight their way back.

Microsoft launches Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 and 7000 (Engadget)
Feb 5th 2008 11:28AM Might be nice if Microsoft did some drivers for their Bluetooth wireless notebook mouse 5000 which I got thinking it'd work with XP. No joy - it's not in their driver list for download, and it doesn't work when you try to trick it by using a different driver for any similar mice. I'm not buying another M$ mouse, nice as they are, till they fix their existing ones.
Apple introduces Time Capsule, a NAS companion to Time Machine (Engadget)
Jan 16th 2008 9:55AM Aggressively priced? Not in the UK - here it's £100 more than its nearest competition with the same capacity (1Tb) - and £50 more expensive than the same product in the US.
And why, if the MBA is made in China & priced at $1799 in the US, they're £1199 in the UK? Last I looked, $1799 was £918.51. Rip-off Britain strikes again - or that's one hell of an expensive power socket adaptor.
Caveat Emptor: Relationships in Virtual Worlds (Second Life Insider)
Aug 10th 2006 10:36AM I'm with Tomas on this - I look on SL as a really good RP game, where you can be whatever you want to be, and you're not bound by any of the restrictions you might be under in RL. I've an SL relationship which we conduct on the basis that it's a game, a bit of fun.
