Oct 19th 2006 5:22AM What about things like DBXplorer, ClearType, Fonts, .NET Framework, improving their live search engine, Ribbon UI, SQL improvements and etc?

I don't know what Chris is on about.

Vista Transformation Pack: Vista-ize your XP (Download Squad)

Sep 23rd 2006 5:24PM I've had a very bad experience with one of these transformation packs (which transformed Windows XP UI to Mac OS X Aqua UI) before.

What it did was, it installed and ran okay. Apart from a few things looking very dodgy and fishy, I have to say it worked. But the problem was with uninstalling - I followed the prompts to backup existing dll files and all but upon uninstallation my font packs were missing, dll files were unstable, icons were still in aqua form and etc. This forced me to reinstall my precious Windows XP.

Whilst, it might have been my fault (I don't know what I have done wrong) other - beginner - users could have a simliar problem as I did.

So the question remains, how did the uninstallation process go? Good to go for the noobies out there?

You know, I thought I was a pro and all.

Aug 29th 2006 2:03PM To make matters worse and for your hearing-makes-me-sick's sake - I, a long time Windows users, am also switching to Mac OS X. Windows is becoming a joke.

Aug 6th 2006 7:14PM Words like 'weblog' should be used as 'web log'. The now popular word 'blog' caters for that shortening.

The word web should also be 'the Web'.
