Jun 24th 2005 1:01AM There was an episode of Parkinson, an English talk show, where the guest was Stephen Fry and he narrated a hilarious story on the Queen Mother and her remote control. Apparently the Queen Mother was having trouble with her telly and informs her butler/valet to run down to the nice people at Harrods and get a new one. So, when she returns after lunch there is a spanking new TV there and her butler asks if she likes it, to which she says yes and that it is so big! Now this is a good many years ago, so the butler eagerly shows her the latest feature, a remote control and proceeds to tell her that if she wants BBC 1 she presses the 1 button, BBC 2 the two button...so on and so forth. He also says that this ought to make her life easier as she did not need to get up and go to the telly to change channels. Whereupon she says, thats nice, but not half as easy as ringing the bell! :-)

Mar 7th 2005 11:18PM I am from Bangalore, India. You'd be pretty surprised at the number of mac users here, especially in the last 6 months. I myself have moved to a 17 inch Powerbook, and it rocks! Seeing this, a few colleagues moved to mac as well. The mini as been doing exceptionally well here, and the ipod, both HDD and Flash, have been doing great. Will try and send you some pictures from the local apple store.
