Amazon Appstore for Android hands-on review: Android Market is in trouble (Download Squad)

Mar 23rd 2011 2:44AM People outside the US don't just need to change their billing address to somewhere in the U.S. they need to enter a US credit card. A US billing address with a non-US credit card won't work. Fortunately there are sites that can give you fake US credit card numbers (the numbers aren't real, but they meet the formula for what one looks like) that allow you to use free apps.

Until they're worldwide they shouldn't have exclusive apps.

Angry Birds Rio now available: 99 cents on iPhone, free on Amazon Android Appstore for 24 hours (Download Squad)

Mar 22nd 2011 4:39PM Why can't Amazon tell you "amazon appstore is not yet available for your region" before you download the app and setup your 1-click settings?

Android games more lucrative and addictive than iOS? (Download Squad)

Mar 12th 2011 8:52AM Despite Android being more popular than iOS, about 95% of kids that have smartphones have iPhones.

The majority of my friends have Android phones, but have bought iPhones for their kids as in the high school community it's apparently "the cool thing". That's might be a positive for kids games but for games targeted at adults which Pocket Legends is, it's not good. Also they've recommended it to their technophobe parents (70+ years old) as it's a basic phone and easier to use than Android, and people that age don't play games

Take the kids and old people out of the figures and Android increases it's lead even further. I'd love to see the ownership figures for 18-49 year olds.

iOS in-app purchases now always require password (Download Squad)

Mar 11th 2011 8:19PM Let's hope Android don't introduce it. It'll be so annoying having to do that constantly. Or if they do put an option in the menus where they can turn "Kid mode" on.

'Scareware' Operators to Pay $8.2 Million to FTC, In Settlement (Switched)

Jan 28th 2011 7:37PM So sell a million copies at $39.95 each and pay a fine of $8.2 million. Still have $31 million profit.

'Million Dollar Money Drop' Allows Post-it Couple to Compete Again (AOL TV)

Dec 27th 2010 8:12PM I haven't seen the show as it doesn't air in Australia, but if the wrong answer cost them $800,000 shouldn't they just be given that money rather than being allowed to compete again? Wouldn't they have gone home with $800,000 if the answer was right?

Facebook for Android updated, chat and push notifications added (Download Squad)

Dec 15th 2010 7:19AM Facebook S for Android is a great Facebook app for Android. It's available in the "Samsung Apps" Appstore on all Samsung Android phones. Significantly better than the official Facebook app

Bill O'Reilly Responds to 'The View' Walk-Off and Ground Zero Debate, Says He Was Trying to 'Sell a Book' (VIDEO) (AOL TV)

Dec 10th 2010 7:37AM srpatterso, you say Oklahoma was 15 years ago - 9/11 was 9 years ago. Bill brought that up. And if you watch the news you'd know there have been countless terrorist activities committed by Christian terrorists in the past 15 years. Fundamentalist Christians are just as bad as Fundamentalist Muslims - something O'Reilly and people like yourself can't see.

MTV's 'Skins' Gets a Longer (and Better) Trailer (AOL TV)

Dec 9th 2010 2:49AM I thought the US version was an actual new show based on the original - not a carbon copy with identical storylines and dialogue. Why bother making it?

Is the 3rd season of US Skins going to have the same storyline as season 3-4 of the UK version?

'Glee' Characters to Graduate in 2012 (AOL TV)

Dec 2nd 2010 2:28AM How will it work with them as adult? The whole point of the show is a High school "Glee club". Glee clubs don't exist outside highschool, and they'll be going all over the country. The footballers will be getting scholarships at different unis.
