The talk stations have to take a break. Currently on XM they highlight other shows taking place such as Dylan's Themes hour and MLB games on other channels. The commercials aren't "This Bud's for You!" or "Invest in Real Estate". Sometimes they aren't even promos, they are just daily tips from Laslow or the Smallbusiness guy.

The pure essence of the music channels offered by XM (the non Clear Channel ones) have no commercials. They won't. That is the selling point of XM. When Clear Channel decided to play commercials, XM went out and expanded their line up to include more non-commercial channels. They pride themselves on how many commercial free channels they have.

So now when you tune into the Women's channel or High Voltage or other XM talk channels instead of hearing Dylan's Themes promo twice, you'll actually have targeted Google Ads.

Or would you prefer that talk shows talk for 6 hours non-stop?
