Feb 20th 2006 12:52PM holy cow, drempels is an oldie but a goodie. it works on principles similar to chroma-key overlay. so you can run it in the background, set your background color to the color configured in drempels ("drempels desktop") and the trippin' continues while you work.

additionally, if you're clever you can also assign this color to various foreground elements (like the text background color in terminals) to make for interesting (if not sometimes annoying) transparency-style effects.
