Is Google the next Pirate Bay? In a word, no. (Download Squad)
Apr 18th 2009 9:52PM By indexing sites that contain pirated media, Google is just as "guilty of assisting the distribution of illegal content online" as Pirate Bay. The fact that Google does not track torrents is inconsequential.
One must remember, Pirate Bay was not found guilty of distribution just assisting in it. Every search engine could be charged in this same manner if the verdict stands.
