Report: Skyrim PS3 patch out in Europe [update: patch notes released] (Joystiq)

Nov 28th 2011 7:31PM Instead of down voting every PS3 owner who is pissed off, why not head on over to their forums and check out all the NEW issues the patch brought. Low resolution textures, dragons flying backwards, broken weapon, broken quests. The game appears virtually unplayable at this point for many people.

This could very well be one of the worst gaming release screw ups in the history of gaming.

Skyrim without textures looks pretty neat (Joystiq)

Nov 22nd 2011 12:00AM This is how 360 and PS3 users have been playing since launch.

Detoc: Rocksmith reviews show 'lack of enthusiasm' for innovation (Joystiq)

Nov 1st 2011 10:26PM Loving Rocksmith quite a bit. The guitar world also seems a bit taken with it as well. You can pop on any of the major guitar forums, and you can find almost everyone in agreement that the game simply rocks. I've only seen a couple poor reviews, and a pile of decent ones so far, so I'm hoping this just means more DLC for us in the end.

There is certainly a lot of room for improvement (better menus, layout, playlists, etc), but for what it is, this is one hell of a good start.

World of Warcraft's Samwise Didier talks about finally bringing his Pandaren to life (Joystiq)

Oct 22nd 2011 2:20PM It's painful watching people still hooked on this MMO. I'm glad I got burned out and lost five years of my life with Everquest before this came out.

The Joystiq Indie Pitch: Dungeons of Dredmor (Joystiq)

Oct 22nd 2011 2:03PM Love this game. I've put a LOT of hours into it, and it's really hooking me like the Diablo games did. There is something to be said about well done roguelike clones that take the "next step".

I hate you so much.

Rocksmith review: Drop-D minus (Joystiq)

Oct 19th 2011 6:41PM I've been playing for YEARS, I don't know many people who can tune a guitar by ear. This review read like a self indulgent "im awesome at guitar, everyone should learn the way I did because its the correct way - end of story" which is SUCH a load of BS.

I've not played the game, but I've been reading all the reviews, and most have been fairly positive, even from other experienced guitarists. However, this review comes across not as a review, but as if the reviewer has to prove to us he is great.

It's disgusting, and too self indulgent.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to have cross-play for PS3, PC, Mac and not Xbox (Joystiq)

Aug 26th 2011 5:15PM @A Burger

Put them in a hard spot doesn't it? They will need to move along with the progression of gaming or become buried within the pages of history of it.

Paying for online access needs to be removed. Opening up their network to developers needs to be added. We can see where the future of gaming is, and it's cross compatibility between all platforms. If one wants to charge for access and keep it closed, you KNOW what it going to happen to that platform. God bye.

EverQuest II beefs up its free trial (Massively)

Aug 25th 2011 11:00AM Had no idea EQ2 had a F2P version. I absolutely loved the game, but couldn't afford the monthly fee. It was so much better than WoW. Storywise, it had so much lore. Loved it. I will have to check it out.

THQ confirms co-op for Space Marine, but may be DLC (Joystiq)

Aug 10th 2011 9:28AM Can't stand DLC. Either delay the game until it's finished, or lower the price down to reflect an incomplete game. Too many companies are doing this and it's ruining the industry. I was planning on playing CoOp with a friend the day of release. Not really looking for a single player Warhammer experience when the entire point of Warhammer is MULTIPLAYER.

Maybe with some luck Games Workshop will pull their 40k license for ruining this franchise.

Two packs of EDF: Insect Armageddon DLC now available (Joystiq)

Aug 10th 2011 9:23AM This game doesn't need more weapons. It needs more levels. It was incredibly short compared to 2013. I love the weapons in the game, but we really need 50 more levels. PLEASE
