Yes, u can make the network changes prior to logging in. You may have to launch wow using wow.exe as opposed to launcher.exe in order to access this, as with network problems the launcher may not work.

Apr 13th 2011 11:07AM Rogers has been slapped in the face for doing that. They said they will stop, but it will take em some time to stop throttling wow.

I imagine it would have some effect on WoW sending more packets, considering that Rogers is precicely trying to prevent that.

If you have a vaild legal torrent (or not so legal one) Rogers would deliberatly drop packets in order to screw up ur data, so if anyone in ur home/work was using P2P u wouldnt be able to play WoW.

Apr 12th 2011 10:32PM 'The Network category contains the options "Optimize network for speed" and "Enable IPv6 when available". "Optimize network for speed" will be enabled by default, and will send packets more frequently at the cost of higher bandwidth.'

Not the best idea there. I have very low bandwidth and very low limit. Cant send packets more frequently. Of course I'll uncheck those boxes, but they shouldn't be enabled by default as some ppl wont do that and it will result in them using more bandwidth (especially on limited/capped) networks faster.

...I gotta update my damn internet service :(

Apr 11th 2011 8:18PM Its a game. People play it to get away from the frustration of day-to-day stuff. If the game is going to be hard and complicated, where do people supposed to have fun. Isnt it what games are for?

Those hardcore players, are the ones without work or school. Those who have 10+ hrs per day to spend on a game.

I wanna log on and relax. Not become even more pissed off with a game.
