Jan 19th 2009 8:07PM I should add... this is a new machine - about 3 months old. It runs Vista x64, is quad-core and has 8 GB of memory. My old XP machine (7 yrs old) booted faster, was was still in the 5 minute range.

Jan 19th 2009 8:03PM I dream of a 30 second boot. My desktop system takes anywhere from 4 to 8 minutes to boot and to get logged in. I think it has something to do with the external USB drives, but I don't know for sure.
