Adobe Flash Player 10.1 now officially available for download (Engadget)

Jun 10th 2010 3:51PM About time. Adobe is so slow, they've been testing flash 10 64-bit on Linux forever, they promised 10,1 will support 64-bit OSs, but it seems that we have to wait another decade for that to happen.

ExoPC Slate hands-on (Engadget)

May 31st 2010 1:35AM @Avaron No, not stock Ubuntu, it would be a disaster. I wrote Ubuntu Light, a new UI very early in development meant for touch devices like these and netbooks.

ExoPC Slate hands-on (Engadget)

May 30th 2010 2:40PM That interface looks very nice! But the Win7 desktop kind of suck's for a touch screen, I hope it doesn't ship like that.

If I buy this thing I will install Ubuntu light ASAP because the hardware looks awesome!

Windows 7 Activation Technologies Update now live, ready to be dodged (Engadget)

Feb 24th 2010 9:56AM I just bought this netbook yesterday and one of the first things I did was to update the system without checking them first. I so used to Ubuntu that I totally forgot.

But what the hell! I won't be using Win7 Starter for long anyway.

Moblin 2.0 beta impressively demoed on video (Engadget)

May 20th 2009 4:05PM I wish Intel the best! I was very skeptical about Moblin, but this sure looks perfect for a netbook.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 and 945 benchmarked to high heaven (Engadget)

Apr 24th 2009 1:50AM I just love AMD. My 780g chipset works like a charm, in fact every AMD product I have ever had.

Microsoft profits sink for the first time in 23 years (Engadget)

Apr 24th 2009 1:45AM I think MS should kill XP for good when Win 7 arrives before XP kills Win 7. Windows users aren't open to new stuff because they have been using the same OS for seven years, and it still works (at least for them) and Vista is too different and expensive and it doesn't work at all.

I don't think Win 7 will be the success MS is hoping for (at least in the first few months or years). They've been hyping it a lot and talking about the performance and stuff, but it's very different from XP and works differently. I don't think the XP crowd will like that. That's why MS is supporting downgrades to XP.

Unfortunately XP is most people's favorite Operating System and they are not willing to change it. At least for now.

Ubuntu 9.04 'Jaunty Jackalope' is gold, ready for download (Engadget)

Apr 23rd 2009 9:56AM Jaunty with the EXT4 filesystem flies on my PCs!!! So far, the best Ubuntu experience!!!!

Now it runs better on my laptop. 8.10 sucked in the laptop because it was very slow, but Jaunty is so smooth.
