What's in a Name? (WoW)

Dec 8th 2005 4:58AM I don't play WoW, but I play Diablo II all the time, I've got six accounts full of characters. I've done both twists on my last name, Vroegop(it's Dutch), and lots of medieval names- there are lists of them from ancient texts recording populations, and the meanings of each. It ties in really well, because a lot of the themes for these games are, essentially, medieval. Therefore, names like Niall(paladin), Bierlota(assassin), Eorla(Amazon), Skorri(Barbarian), Illingr(Necromancer).. Illingr means "evil man". Skorri, iirc, means "huge-bladed" Eorla was taken from all the Eorl- names in LOTR- it was my idea of a feminine mounted warrior.
