Mar 13th 2009 8:29AM In fact the source article has it wrong. It's not in the center of Paris, it's not even Paris, it's La Defense, which is in the suburbs of Paris. Paris has a law, after they built the Montparnasse Tower, that never would there be a building built, bigger than 8 stories high in Paris.

That's why all the tall office buildings are in La Defense.

Mar 21st 2008 8:48AM Living in France, I can tell you lane splitting (filtering) is God sent.

Most European car drivers have realized that it's in *their* interest to have bike split lanes. Due to bad traffic, full cities, etc, there are a lot of bikes out there. If all of them would ride like cars, ie, stay in the lanes, the traffic would become even more chaotic.

Many cars want you to split. It's just one less vehicle on the road between them and their destination!

Dear Adobe: What the hell happened to you? (Download Squad)

May 23rd 2007 3:31PM I'm sooo disappointed in Adobe, I've stopped using all their products. In fact, I stopped at Photoshop 6. Acrobat is already replaced by Foxit.

Their pricing policies remind me of the 60's, before users had internet and could find out who was paying what and where.

Their support is a disaster, 10x worse than Microsoft. You open a support case, and the just close it without doing enything.

Too bad, it used to be a good company.

Dec 8th 2005 2:33AM If you actualyl enter calendar.google.com it brings you to their homepage, ie, they've got the sub domain ready to go. If you enter something like cal.google.com you get 404...
