Wii pre-orders snapped up on Amazon (Joystiq Nintendo)

Sep 19th 2006 2:02AM I managed to pre-order at the Nintendo store in NYC on Sunday. I don't know how many they'll have available but the people behind me in line were all there for pre-orders as well. I put down $50 just for the console and I would be able to pick it up at the store the day of release.

On improving the iPod's aging UI and experience (TUAW.com)

Jul 22nd 2006 5:40PM I totally agree with the posts. The UI should be updated. One area i would like to see is an easier ability to switch on/off "repeat". I listen to my playlist with repeat on, but i have some files that i just need to hear once when i go to bed.

Next iPod an eBook reader? (TUAW.com)

Jul 22nd 2006 3:57PM I did a post based on what Engadget mentioned. I think that Apple will eventually launch two devices; the video ipod that everyone is expecting and a UMPC-like iPod. This 2nd ipod would be larger and have a screen suitable for reading ebook content. Apple did file for patents that can go into this kind of iPod (e.g. qwerty touch screen input) so I think we can reasonably expect some sort of ultra portable pc or mobile media player.

Apple to do eBooks? (Engadget)

Jul 22nd 2006 3:46PM I just wrote in my blog that I think we'll be seeing two new devices. A Video iPod is what everyone is talking about. The second device i foresee is a UMPC-like iPod (almost like the size of a Newton). Apple did apply for patents on technology that would go into such a device and it would be much better to read ebooks on.
