Will you watch what I watch ? (Blog Maverick)

Feb 27th 2008 6:27PM It's amazing that you put posts out like this that basically give us a really good problem to solve that could be worth tons of money.

I love the idea of a brand driven search engine. And yes, people do care about what other people are recommending, particularly famous and/or rich people.

Apr 16th 2007 2:39PM It's a direct refelection of how effective an owner you are that people from OTHER teams email you to complain. It's a real good sign that the other owners should do all that they can to avoid a rectal cranial inversion and get on the ball.

You Go Viacom ! (Blog Maverick)

Mar 14th 2007 11:33AM I agree that content owners should take advantage of the free demographic info offered by the youtubes and put their content out through them.

However, the tough part is now anyone can do a youtube and share their video content. There are hundreds of sites like it now.

The content owners need to step back and look at the value of the information available to them from these sites, because sharing won't stop.

ActiveWords - The most useful utility I'm no longer using (Download Squad)

Jul 21st 2006 12:46PM This is another wonderful example of why all software should be opensource. I believe that the software makers are eventually going to be lapped by opensource software. Firefox is a perfect upcoming example.

I think the opensource crowd is slowly but surely starting to think like consumers who don't exactly meet their own profile...a big reason why I think Firefox is so successful. (This is coming from someone whose only coding experience was a karaoke program when I was in junior high!)

The Internet is old news and boring.. Deal with it (Blog Maverick)

Jul 13th 2006 12:36PM I agree that the performance of the internet and its evolutionary enhancements are boring (I suppose it's about frame of reference). I believe however, that someone like your daughter or mine is going to think about this utility that's been created in a way that we never even dreamed of and while the internet as we know it will be boring, the internet as they dream it won't be.

Following the Rich Media money (Blog Maverick)

Apr 6th 2006 12:21PM I wonder to what extent people like to know that others are watching the same program the same time that they are. You're right millions "tune in" to see the shows and they know that many of their neighbors are doing the same thing. I wonder if the concept of On Demand feels a little too disconnecting to people. When I had a TV and had TiVo, I mostly used it to watch things several times but caught the shows I really cared about live when millions of others were doing the same thing. On the other hand, turning my TV on to watch a show still feels very private. I guess potentially, when I sign on the internet to watch something with others I feel like they can almost "see" me if you will. I use my computer for any digital entertainment today and it suits me fine but I know it was disconcerting throughout the transition.

Memes - Doing the Wave in the Blogosphere (Blog Maverick)

Mar 28th 2006 4:53PM I think the answer is honesty. If I result to this type of blog, I'm reticent to share what I'm really thinking or feeling. I won't judge someone if they do participate. I can only do my best and be honest about what I do type. I guess the Catch 22 here is that you're putting energy into something you don't think is worth your energy.

Success & Motivation - Dont Lie to Yourself (Blog Maverick)

Mar 21st 2006 4:00PM Nothing is more interesting than someone calling themselves a people person and the only thing you notice at a large cocktail party is that there are no people around that person.
