Apr 28th 2011 4:01PM Hulu's currently US only because they don't have streaming rights for Canada, the UK, Australia, etc (there are workarounds that often get blocked). I
Apr 27th 2011 7:59PM They should add ABC iView-another great service from Australia for those in Australia. Or even iPlayer for those in the UK-who like us don't currently have access to Hulu Plus.
Apr 27th 2011 7:57PM Yes-Hulu currently only can stream its content in the US. No international streaming rights for Canada,UK,Australia, etc currently.
Apr 9th 2011 2:32AM 3D steroscopic editing-Adobe's Premiere Pro and Sony software does it (sure that aren't many pro level 3D camcorders around, but pro editing software supports it). . More OpenCL support
Apr 8th 2011 3:50AM 3D steroscopic video editing-many camcorders/cameras can record 3D movies and Vegas on the PC can do 3D steroscopic video editing (a niche feature) but not on the Mac with FCP currently.
Apr 8th 2011 3:48AM Simplified mode-there is a cut-down version, FCE which is suited to those looking for a bit more editing power than iMovie (but FCE hasn't had a new version in almost 4 years now).
Apr 8th 2011 3:38AM A new release of Final Cut Express at the same time as its bigger brother, Final Cut Pro-it hasn't seen a major release since in 2007 (whereas FCP was updated in 2009).It's the cheaper (but cut-down obviously to keep a $199 price ) counterpart to Final Cut Pro and used bu those who don't have a need fo r the foll blown FCS and I own and use FCE a lot. Incorporate more Shake like features into Motion. Apple could offer FCS on the Mac App Store, like they did with Aperture.
Mar 11th 2011 10:18AM Found that the M-Audio Producer USB mic that comes with Avid Vocal Studio/Pro Tools Vocal Studio works pretty good with Garageband on the iPad with the camera connection kit's USB part and doesn't seem to draw too much power . On the Mac, it needs drivers to be used. Avid Vocal Studio-by the way, is aimed at consumers that want a nice USB mic (and a cut-down version of Pro Tools), and is under $150 .
Mar 6th 2011 6:00PM I noticed you haven't discussed how to work with 3D movies from the REAL 3D W3.Apple's own iPhoto and Aperture software doesn't support.mpo files, but QuickTime can play the 3D-AVI .avi files recorded on Fuji's 3D camera quite well (albeit not with the 3D effect). I own one too and found Adobe Premiere Elements 9 can import and edit 3D videos recorded easily from it-despite Adobe's Premiere Elements not having any steropscopic editing features. They are in 3D-AVI .avi format. Could you do a article on how to work with videos in 3D recorded on 3D cameras with Mac?
Mar 2nd 2011 2:18PM I would think Garageband will run only on the new iPad 2 and won't be available for use on the first generation iPad.
