Nintendo 3DS gets official, includes 3D camera (Engadget)

Jun 15th 2010 1:29PM It looks like the 3DS is going to be more of the hardcore gaming platform than the Wii, just by looking at the launch titles for the 3DS.

Also, should I get the 3DS or wait for the 3DSi?

Jun 15th 2010 1:22PM @Firehazel Well, considering Apple went after Nintendo first, what do you expect? This will certainly be an interesting war.

HTC EVO 4G and Droid Incredible suffering from unresponsive screen issues (Engadget)

Jun 14th 2010 7:06PM I think with every hardware release, there is going to be problems, and with YouTube, Blogs, and other means of broadcasting issues at anyone's disposal, its easy for something that could really only affect 5% of devices to seem like its affecting every device and the manufacturer is horrible. While I am still excited about the device and looking forward to picking it up when it comes in, it does make me a bit hesitant when I see this because like any hardware malfunction, regardless how small, it could still happen to me.

I do appreciate the heads up though because knowing is half the battle.

New Xbox 360 gets official at $299, shipping today, looks angular and ominous (video hands-on!) (Engadget)

Jun 14th 2010 4:25PM Looks like they did a lot of things right with this iteration of the 360. For example, swap-able hard drives. Does that mean no longer being ripped off my MS when space runs out? Built in Wi-Fi is also really nice, and like so many others, why did they wait until now for this feature?

My only complaint and it really is a matter of personal preference, is the case design. It looks funny, and that shiny plastic makes it look cheap to me.

Samsung: iPhone 4's retina display is nice, but it's no AMOLED (Engadget)

Jun 9th 2010 8:17PM I guess Jobs loves to pick fights with everyone by making bold claims. Im sure the pixel density does make a huge difference, but what I wonder is why on the iphone? Why not on the iPad where it would do the most good, especially since its marketed as an e-reader on top of all the other "magical" things it can do.

And like dozens of people have pointed out, can Samsung please change its skin? I mean how hard is it to design an attractive skin for a cell phone? Did HTC and Apple take all the good designers of the world?

Google: Android will outsell iPhone, we still love ya Steve (Engadget)

Mar 14th 2008 12:45PM In the end, I think its clear that google will push out more copies of its OS than apple. While not a huge apple fan my self, I have to applaud Jobs for causing a huge ripple in the Cell Phone industry. Maybe Motorola and Nokia and others were already heading in the direction of better UI, better input methods, ect, but Apple did cause them to speed things up. With the Android OS, there are alot of possibilities, but it will be up to the manufacturers to take that and turn it into something amazing, and for that, we have to take a wait and see approach. At least the bar has been raised.

Mar 3rd 2008 12:24PM Here is my take on this topic. I agree with what you say Amber. Discussing sex should never be considered a negative thing, and does not reflect your level of professionalism. Unfortunately, sex is having a bad rap. Like you said, the media loves to show all the negatives that involve sex and sexuality, but the minute someone tries to bring it up in a positive and constructive manner, they are shut out. Why this has happened requires more than one post to delve into, but it would make for a great discussion. Short answer based on my observation would be man and religion, but like I said, its more complicated than that.

The way I see it, we need more panels and conferences like yours, to educate people, and open their eyes. Sex does not have to be evil.

Wii60 survey: Wii owners less likely to buy Xbox 360 (Joystiq)

May 25th 2007 11:06AM Here is another thought on these numbers. Considering the ammount of people that are first time consol buyers, the untapped market nintendo is targeting. The would not feel the need to buy a second consol. They would probably stick with one and thats it. 360 owners though would fall into the more hardcore demographic and could see the potential of the wii giving them something different (although i'm sure there are many dissapointments there). The are the ones who buy multiple consols and probably don't want to throw $600 for one after spending $400. I'm also sure you would see the same from the PS3 crowd, except they don't have any more money left to spend.
