Killzone 3 review: Third time's the harm (Joystiq)

Feb 3rd 2011 3:07PM @Mr Esc is the namesarcasm is my The size and resolution of your TV don't matter on Wii/Move. It's really based on the placement of your camera. Kinect has motors that can move to appropriately "find" you, but you may need to manually adjust your Eye to find the "sweet spot." There is a calibration option in the retail game that makes it pretty easy to set up Move controls in KZ3.

Killzone 3 review: Third time's the harm (Joystiq)

Feb 3rd 2011 3:04PM @darksied Well, there are a number of reasons for score discrepancy. There are different reviewers for all the games you've mentioned. I personally wouldn't award Halo Reach a 5, for example. Like you, I found the story of Reach rather dull and uninspiring. That being said, it's also completely inoffensive. It's like watching a boring movie, as opposed to an offensively bad one. Killzone 3 really falls in the latter category. It's a subtractive quality, as opposed to an additive one.

I don't want to compare Halo and Killzone, because they're very different games meant for different audiences. They offer very different feature sets. But, as much as I enjoy Killzone 3's MP offerings, it's hard not to look at what other online games are doing and ask "hey, why can't this game do that too?"

Killzone 3 review: Third time's the harm (Joystiq)

Feb 3rd 2011 3:00PM @Anarqi I'd say this is far from a "flop." As many have pointed out, there are other critics that actually enjoyed the game -- some more than Killzone 2, in fact. I think it will be interesting to see how fans of Killzone 2 and critics of it respond to this new entry.
