Sprint selling HTC EVO 4G on June 4 for $199 (Engadget)

May 12th 2010 6:24PM I'm excited about this phone but has anyone been to a tmobile store and looked at the htc hd2? The phone is huge it looks like a mini ipad. I think the phone would sell better if it was a 3.7inch instead of the 4.3inch I would have switched all 4 AT&T lines to sprint for a 3.7 inch evo.

May 7th 2010 4:26PM GOD!! if there is a god, i don't need a big miracle from you like world peace, or to rid the world of hunger. I just want to see at&t begging for customers after they loose, over 30 million customers to Verizon for the iphone.

Verizon goes after Sprint's 'most dependable 3G network' ad claim (Engadget)

Nov 25th 2009 12:16AM @Minions

Dude i don't know where you got your info from but its all wrong!

EV-DO / HSPA are 3G technologies they provide speeds of up to 2mbps in the read world whcih is considered broadband speeds.

4G has nothing to do with CDMA or GSM its a matter of whcih 4G technology they will use.

Verizon a CDMA company with be doing LTE for 4G but the network is not live yet.
Sprint CDMA will be doing Wimax for 4G which is currently live at the moment.
AT&T a GSM company will do LTE for their 4G network.

Verizon goes after Sprint's 'most dependable 3G network' ad claim (Engadget)

Nov 24th 2009 9:44PM @Narutogrey

even thought Sprint can roam on Verizon's towers, Sprints calls have less priority on the network than a Verizon caller.

so if you have sprint and go into a roaming area, and the network is crowded or w.e your call will be dropped first or will not connect if Verizon users are making calls.

Verizon goes after Sprint's 'most dependable 3G network' ad claim (Engadget)

Nov 24th 2009 9:42PM while i think that verizon may be correct with this lawsuit. since they own most if not all of the 800mhz spectrum after alltell buyout. Sprint works on the 1900mhz band which doesn't penetrate buildings very well, and when i tried the Sprint Hero in NYC i couldn't get a 3G signal in my office. While Verizon/AT&T can get 3G because they both operate on the 800/850mhz bands which are stronger.

with that said i think Verizon needs to be smacked down, its getting out of hand with all these assaults. what will they do next put a map of Sprints 3G and say we have 3x more 3G than Sprint and we are more dependable than Sprint.

Who's next T-Mobile and their 3G network? Its getting pathetic i hope AT&T and Sprint come back at Verizon playing hardball since Verizon wants to be the bully in the scene.
