Mar 22nd 2010 1:58AM Is saying Steam kind of like cheating? One thing I don't want is steam-like clones. As for a stand-alone DRM, first off, one that actually works, and is uncrackable (as if) would be desirable, doesn't depend on a permanent internet connection, but allows a couple hours of play before a registration is required (kind of like Windows). The ability to transfer a license to someone else would be great. Finally, it has to be future-proof, in the event of the company shutting down, servers switched off, or the product goes to end of life - maybe a final "we don't care anymore" patch that could be put out to factory-disable the DRM.
Mar 23rd 2009 7:03PM Qimo must be pronounced key'-mo. The eskimo look & feel with that name seems to fit well. Reminds me of the ABC network affiliate in Anchorage, AK, KIMO channel 13, pronounced the same way.
Jan 20th 2009 9:43AM Engadget, you're the best, but you're more best if I win.
Sep 16th 2008 2:39PM That was fun. I scored a zero. I guess I win.
