Apr 12th 2011 12:12PM WTF? Easily two of my favorite blogs... and the two I visit the most for certain. I believe that does it for me for AOL properties (already removed TechCrunch etc... from my feeds).Reading DownloadSquad (and Switched) have been wonderful, and I'm very sorry to see both go. I wish the best for all of the staff of both, and will continue to follow on their personal blogs.
Mar 21st 2011 10:22AM @Tahko Tetsujin You're kidding.... Digg, reddit are Anonymous' channels (in your opinion), and not for anyone else to use? Maybe that's why I've abandoned both... I'm sure the founders of those sites would beg to differ with you.I think I'll go pee a circle around Twitter and lash out at anyone who uses it for PR...
Mar 21st 2011 10:18AM As an at&t customer let me be the first to apologize to T-Mobile customers. While at&t's network is fine (don't listen to iPhone whiners, their phones actually have a handshaking problem that they're starting to understand on the Verizon network now), their business practices suck.At least coverage gets wider, and for now a large selection of devices for all. But at&t doesn't offer new unlimited 3G, doesn't allow tethering without their add-on fee, has strange coverage (1 tower in downtown Houston vs. Verizon's 3 and the coverage between the two is no comparison), and you can guarantee it means prices going up for customers of both with less competition on GSM networks.I doubt the FCC will approve this, even though at&t is sucking up with keywords in their statement. It will eliminate competition on the GSM network. Let's hope for the best here.
Mar 3rd 2011 10:05AM What a dumbass study. Of course all smartphones could fall prey to attenuation... if you can in fact get close enough to the antenna to do so. The iPhone 4 problem was one of poor design, allowing the user to get close enough to the antenna to attenuate.
Jan 25th 2011 3:50PM I'm sure the law doesn't apply to dashcams in patrol cars, traffic light cameras, etc... So they can record you without your consent, but you can't record them without theirs? If I lived in any of those three states I'd be packing my bags right now.
Mar 15th 2010 3:56PM Dumbest of the dumb ideas. Developers around the globe are leaving iPhone development because of Apple's undocumented approval process which in some cases takes 4-8 weeks to allow for a bug to be fixed. In the meantime, they'll lose enterprise developers who cannot push custom applications for customer through the app store. I was really excited about WinMo7 after my recent 12 minutes to code and deploy test on a 6.5 device (you can barely start a BB app framework in that amount of time). Now it's Blackberry or Android for me... there are no other alternatives worth my time.
Sep 18th 2009 12:00PM W.Wolf nailed it. Paid content should be advertisement free. And to add to Todd's thoughts, I'd rather they offer up micropayment plans so I can pay to see the one good movie/show HBO is showing this month and not pay for the other crap they spin up.
Jan 15th 2009 12:55AM I've stopped using Chrome until they stop bypassing the host file :(
Oct 15th 2008 1:20PM It's the platform that they're counting.. win2k/xp were the same platform, win95, 98, me were the same platform, etc..
Sep 2nd 2008 5:02PM One you missed and I've had on every BB I've carried is the Beejive IM client... http://www.beejive.com/A Pidgin for BB if you will.. multi client, single interface, and works nicely.Of note, I've never been able to get the Facebook app to update no matter how much I try.. deleting cache, relogging, etc...
