Nov 19th 2007 4:36PM Amazon S3 + Jungle Disk. Nothing could be simpler, I feel better about my data being encrypted and complete restores have been no problem. I have almost 100 gigs and I smile everytime I get the monthly invoice. previously used rsync.net.

Jan 25th 2006 12:45PM I'm a weather geek and flipped the first time I saw Seasonality. But I'm not a fan of how often it updates. I live in Seattle and it updates current conditions about once every two hours and sometimes longer. So self respecting weather geek would do without real time stats. The temp and wind graphing over time are pretty sweet though.

Dec 27th 2005 3:14PM Wireless ear buds? Good idea on paper but I think it would be difficult in practice because they'd be so easy to lose. I have a hard time as it is keeping track of my wired ones. Though maybe the buds would come with an industrial adhesive applicator to keep 'em in there...

Dec 14th 2005 4:16PM No, this whole Mini craze will be over soon and it's just a matter of time before the technology will exist to put 10 GB in the Nano form factor. I own 2 Minis and don't understand what makes them better than the 5G I-Pods and new Nanos. There is no way Apple will bring them back.

Dec 14th 2005 1:26AM Yeah, I redeemed my cert and didn't have any problems. I sent the cert to a different e-mail address than my I-Tunes account is registered to. In the upper right hand corner it says 25 songs + $50.00. My girlfriend also did this and it worked as well. Again, different e-mail addys used if that makes any difference.

Nov 29th 2005 1:14AM I went through 4 completely defective I-Pods in 4 months (not a single one lasted longer than 11 days) and I still never got a working one but despite that, decided to tempt fate and bought a 17" Powerbook tonight. It booted and I can post this. Am I stupid or what?
