Flickr Export for Acorn (TUAW.com)

May 13th 2008 2:38PM If you have Flickr Uploadr installed ( http://www.flickr.com/tools/uploadr/ ) Acorn will notice that, and add a new menu item to the File->Actions menu which lets you send pics directly to it. Obviously the Coding Robots version works as well :)

Plain text wiki bundle for TextMate (TUAW.com)

May 23rd 2007 2:41PM Actually, VoodooPad lets you store your data as plain text as well. You just need to open up the document properties, and click the checkbox named "Create plain text pages".

Everything is still stored inside a bundle, but it's as plain text files. Maybe I should write about this on my blog since not that many people seem to know about it...

Dev Chair : My love-hate relationship with Apple development (Download Squad)

Gotcha. Of course, if it was just like windows... what's the point? :)

Some good places to start are:

http://cocoadev.com/
And of course Apple's site. They've served me well in the past (and still do today obviously)

I don't see why programming on OSX is expensive. You get a free compiler, ide, unit testing tools, and freaken' amazing profiling tools like Shark. And that's only on 10.4. 10.5 is bringing more to the table with an upgrade to objective-c, refactoring tools in xcode, built in support to write cocoa applications in Python and Ruby, and another amazing profiling tool named "xRay". All for free.

And once you learn the frameworks (that's the learning curve) It's completely reasonable to make a quality application "on the side" as I have done myself :)

VoodooPad 3.0 - Serious Mojo (TUAW.com)

Jul 5th 2006 6:23PM look: I think this upgrade is worth it. And it's actually been a very long time since I charged an upgrade price. 19 months ago as a mater of fact- back in Dec of 2004 for VoodooPad 2.0. Since then there's been 2 major and 8 minor releases, all free. And $9.95 isn't that much :)
