10.6.7 update causes OpenType font issues (TUAW.com)

Mar 28th 2011 1:36PM This is a huge problem. Apple better get on top of this quick, or they're gonna have a lot of LARGE customers extremely ticked off!

Google Chrome changes its logo... again! (pictures) (Download Squad)

Mar 25th 2011 9:49AM I like the new flat icon. The latest dev build reverts back to the 3D shiny version, but I suspect it's a glitch.

Google holds back on open-sourcing Honeycomb, heralds massive shift for Android (Download Squad)

Mar 25th 2011 9:31AM But, but, but... how will the world continue turning if it isn't "open"???? Pffft.

Mozilla details new Chrome-like release schedule and channels, Firefox 5 soon (Download Squad)

Mar 17th 2011 10:06AM I for one am happy to see Mozilla move to quicker release schedules. If they can improve the launch time, I may actually move back to FF as my main browser.

Sparrow chirps out feature list for version 1.1 (TUAW.com)

Mar 15th 2011 9:41PM This is a great alternative mail app for those with very simple email needs. But comparing this to Apple's Mail app is like comparing Apple's Pages to Adobe InDesign, or Acorn to Adobe Photoshop. They're just made for different people.

Twitter puts its foot down, calls for client consistency and tightens controls (Download Squad)

Mar 13th 2011 8:45AM I completely agree with Twitter - we simply don't need more Twitter clients, at least not for the Mac anyway. However, I don't like that Twitter is making these decisions for us.

Gmail Labs adds Smart Labels to help organize your inbox (Download Squad)

Mar 9th 2011 5:38PM Looks like they're integrating some of the features of OtherInbox. While I like OIB, I'm happy to see the features be a part of Gmail itself rather than an add-on feature.

iTunes to add unlimited downloads for purchased music, MobileMe going free? (Download Squad)

Mar 4th 2011 3:16PM Could care less about unlimited iTunes downloads - that's what backups are for. However free MobileMe could be huge for Apple. I wouldn't spend more than $5 per year on it - but were it free I would certainly make heavy use of it. It's obvious, but I might be more apt to purchase apps that take advantage of or integrate with MobileMe.

'Apple just f***** over online music subs for the iPhone' -- Last.fm co-founder on Apple's 30% cut (Download Squad)

Feb 20th 2011 8:00AM @CHRISAKACEO "Take over"?? Take over what? I don't see masses of people paying for magazine and newspaper subscriptions anyway. Those technologies are dead, and simply putting them on the iOS wasn't going to change that.

I see this as much about nothing.

i think Apple is affecting children's grammar (TUAW.com)

Feb 19th 2011 11:34AM The problem is that most of teachers in this country are nearly as dumb as the students they're teaching. Because we don't pay teachers very well, we're forced, in many cases, to accept virtually anyone who applies.

While I haven't noticed the "i" problem too much, I have noticed that many people have taken to running wordsTogether forNo logicalReason.
