Jan 10th 2012 9:58AM I think the number we really should be looking at if you want to have some factual information is software sold.

Many people buy multiple consoles. I have my 2nd gen 360 (with HDMI) and sold my 1st gen to a buddy. It still works like a charm by the way.

That isn't to say that I didn't have RROD with my first couple. The people that are using RROD as part of their argument are way off. If you bought your 360 in 2005 and it crapped out and got a replacement, that replacement from MS had a 1 year warranty. Guess what, if you got another replacement it also had a 1 year warranty. So by the time the extended warranty came out... everyone was covered! I know this because I went through 4 of them. Which is why I stuck with MS. They supported their system and I always got my system back within a week.

Perhaps I'm not the norm, but my PC monitor is 32" and my living room TV is 60".

Is there really a market for people to be able to view two different images on the same screen? More importantly, are there any games that take advantage of this?

Now that NPD doesn't give us specific info on console sales, are they still telling us which console is leading albeit in a crafty way?

ex. 1
Call of Duty: Black Ops (360, PS3, NDS, Wii, PC)

ex. 2
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game (Wii, NDS, 360, PS3, 3DS, PSP, PC)

For COD, 360 is out front for Lego Pirates the order shifts. Why not use the same format to display the systems, unless this is to show which order the game performed the strongest with?

Just a thought.

Apr 12th 2011 8:48AM Wow, I am both inspired by his accomplishments and saddened by his passing. I, like many other have mentioned, have never heard of him and feel (personally being a black gamer) that had I heard of him sooner, would have thought of him as someone to look up to.

As many have said, I don't think it racist to mention that he was black at all. This is a field dominated by white people from around the world and then Asians. Far too many times have I seen someone comment in a forum something akin to, "If black people want more representation, they need to make games that represent them." I will definitely remember him and reference his achievements to any child of color interested in being a developer/engineer.
