May 28th 2010 2:20PM I should also add, I'm finding that my guild mates are actually going along with my RP, and using some of it in their own character development.

...Of course, I wasn't thrilled that one of them has used my main as her nemesis, but that plotline is still... evolving.

May 28th 2010 2:18PM Roleplaying is one area where I've found that I like what Cryptic is doing with Champions Online, A LOT.

With the integration to Twitter, I've found myself writing in-character tweets while I move about the game. I've actually gone as far as copying the combined Tweets into blog entries, complete with character pictures, and appropriate tagging.

I've tried to roleplay in World of Warcraft, and I just didn't find it as engaging as I do in Champions Online. I think the addition of the nemesis system, and the ability to customize my character's appearance to the nth degree really makes it easy to roleplay there, more so than any other MMO.

May 2nd 2010 11:55PM This wasn't an issue with the virus scanner. I got honest-to-goodness malware from something related to the MegaUpload site. It's quite possible it was something from one of their advertisers.

May 2nd 2010 10:31PM I was using Immunet Protect. I just switched to Microsoft Security Essentials, while I make sure this Torrent trojan and associated nastiness are cleaned off.

Dec 16th 2009 3:46PM The price of the CoX packs are much higher, typically. You could buy several of the typical Champions packs for the price of 1 CoX pack.

It should be noted that most of the new items in the C-Store are items already available in game, or released with prior events. They've just made them available for purchase for people who didn't have them yet.

Dec 16th 2009 1:22PM This IS a free trial. Obviously, you need to get the referral from someone already playing, but this allows you to play until level 15.

I've looked over the page carefully, and it doesn't seem to mention any kind of a time limit.
