Oct 29th 2010 3:19AM Do you not simply think people who code annoying and processor-intensive adverts in Flash are going to transfer them to HTML5?2 years from now, I bet we're back right where we started, only now it'll be a lot harder to block the adverts with a plugin
Aug 2nd 2010 4:36PM @kirbyatemytoothbrush Except in Holland, where all 4 carriers have got together to offer crap service. Just compare Vodafone NL with Vodafone Germany - they're profiteering from a market that's used to be screwed.
Jun 22nd 2010 5:32AM You would think they would concentrate on features that might bring in some money... like accepting payments from people outside the US?Fiddling with the underlying technology is all fine and dandy, but it won't be worth diddly squat if you go bankrupt in the mean time.
Jun 9th 2010 9:19AM De Wallen aren't on Streetview - the ladies tend to get a little bothered by cameras, so I doubt they'd be happy with Google driving the Street view cart down the street.Of course, I've not looked myself. My mate told me...
May 27th 2010 8:44AM @Goc True. I got burned with the Samsung Galaxy - still stuck on a bug-riddled Android 1.6. It's so screwed up you can't even use the on-screen dialler once the call has been made, meaning anything that needs you to press a button (voicemail) won't work.Never buying Samsung again - lesson learned.
May 12th 2010 5:27PM Photomatrix Pro on the Mac is my go-to choice. Also, check out this guy: http://www.stuckincustoms.com/hdr-tutorial/He'll show you how to do HRD better than anyone else I've ever seen!
May 6th 2010 7:32AM @tpbftw Alarm seems to work, although the proof will be tomorrow morning! Music playback is OK and it hasn't randomly started playing anything yet. Haven't tried jailbreaking. The dock thing is really stupid though - driving me nuts.
May 6th 2010 6:17AM Just flashed the phone. Keeps force closing the multimedia dock app, which is a bit stupid since it's a genuine Motorola accessory.Other than that, everything seems present and correct.
May 4th 2010 4:51PM You might be out of luck. Recent law changes have required shoppers to provide valid ID when purchasing SIM cards in a lot of countries. I am fairly sure Italy and Spain are affected.Unless you have an ID recognised by the authorities (read: issued by the Italian authorities themselves) they might not sell it to you. Unless you know a friendly local who will buy it for you.
Apr 21st 2010 6:02AM @macserv No - that loud noise is interactive iAds sucking down my battery. Are people really so blinkered they think switching technology will make the ads less annoying?
