Sep 15th 2006 2:52AM They do seem to be ahead of the game as I can remeber when I used to listen to the old Cnet radio ( streamed broadcast), which was superb and I used to listen to it everyday, despite being based in the UK and the Bay area traffic reports were a real hoot to listen to. Good to see that they have come back with something thats quite good.

May 8th 2006 9:45AM From what I gather Apple Corp don't know the difference between being in the music industry and just being a retailer of music, which is what Apple Computer are doing. Apple Computer does not rub a record label it just has an electronic storefront just like Amazon and ebay. It seem to me that Apple Corp are stuck in the past and don't seem to think that the internet exists. I tried to look at their website and it's just a one page.

May 8th 2006 9:36AM The result was sweet music to my ears. Oh and for Stefan who doesn't know what all the fuss was about it was to do with trademark infringement apparently but in my book Apple Corp were looking for another free pay day from Apple computer. We must also give thanks to Steve jobs as he sacked the original legal team, when it was decided the case had to be heard in London. However that was probably the best move of all from Apple Corps or should I say worst. I expect Apple Computer stock to rise today.

Apple Corp they suck and I hope they never appear on iTunes.

May 5th 2006 2:53PM I am Mac fan boy have been since 2001 but I recently purchased a Dell laptop Inspiron 1300 (1.5 ghz celeron cpu,15.4' Wxga screen, 512Mb memory, built in wifi card, 8x DVD +/-RW, 40 GB HD, Win XP Home) for �380.00, ordered it wednesday evening at 11.22 pm and it arrived on Friday morning at 10.59 (the driver pulled up just as I was getting into my car!). It's full of bloatware but as I am using it to test out prior to buying 10 more laptops for a training business I am involved in, it doesn't matter. The design isn't that great and the whole thing is all plastic so I have no intention of dropping it. The software that comes with it sucks
big time but for the price and the spec it will do the job, however it's not something I'd be seen out in public unlike my faithful iBook (G3). Dells have their place but no one buys a Dell for the design features as there aren't any unlike an iBook or MBP (drool). Dell sells on price and �380 for a laptop is an absolute bargain here in the UK, which is why their market share is so big. That's the truth and the reason why I bought a Dell but give me Apple anytime.

iWork 06 "v2" updates (TUAW.com)

May 3rd 2006 7:04PM No the upgrades are for PPC as I ran them last night. Also please ensure that you have the keynote and pages apps in the iWork folder otherwise if you have moved them out of the iWork folder (like I did), then the upgrades won't load.
