Feb 21st 2011 6:58PM Why does the release date on the right say "Available now" when the game is scheduled for launch in 2012?
Feb 17th 2011 8:26PM Wheatley reminds me an awful lot of 343 Guilty Spark from Halo...
Sep 28th 2010 11:25AM Classic Apple... steal someone else's idea, take away half the features and call it a revolution. This is a poor knockoff of Spotify Social and it shows. I've used Ping and it brings absolutely nothing new.
Aug 17th 2010 1:39PM This doesn't come as much of a surprise. They poured so much time, effort and money into APB and it ended up not being very good. Apparently the Realtime Worlds management and leadership isn't terribly great, which can't have helped.Somebody else pointed out that every company Dave Jones and Iain Hetherington have run or been involved with has gone to the wall. This seems to be no exception :(
Jul 27th 2010 4:02PM The specs seem pretty nice (apart from the graphics, that's one thing Apple don't seem too hot on) but as usual the prices are fairly epic.I'm in two minds about buying one of these as I'm looking for an upgrade for my aging Dell Inspiron 6400...
Jul 21st 2010 5:13PM http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/coming-soon/iphone4/iPhone 4 (and beyond) is coming to T-Mobile UK, but they haven't announced their pricing or shipping yet unlike the other networks over here.If it's appearing in the UK on T-Mobile as well as elsewhere, then I don't see why it can't appear on T-Mobile USA. It would also mean that they don't need to make a CDMA iPhone which would likely be much more pleasing to Apple, as it keeps their manufacturing costs down and they don't need to build a separate version of the same device for CDMA networks.
Jul 16th 2010 1:59PM Propaganda, spin, whitewash and a horribly arrogant way of avoiding admitting your mistakes.I was prepared to give Apple a chance here and would likely have bought an iPhone 4 if they fixed the problems properly. A free case isn't good enough for me, I shouldn't have to use extra accessories in order to make the phone work correctly. My dad has a Blackberry Bold 9700 and guess what? Works great, Steve is talking crap.No thanks, Apple. I'm not a bitter fanboy - I'm a consumer making informed, pragmatic decisions and this product doesn't hold up to scrutiny along with Apple's attitude to its customers. I know of cheaper alternatives I consider to be better and I'll seriously consider those instead.I think it may be for the best if Steve Jobs retires within the next few years in a dignified fashion instead of being fired; he's quite clearly losing it, especially with regards to the e-mails he sends out and some of Apple's other recent design decisions (a new tablet which is a giant iPod, the i7 Macbook Pro which gets dangerously hot because of its styling etc.) and the fact that he is becoming too easy a target. If he continues on his current path then he'll just poison the brand and likely end up getting ousted again.
Jul 9th 2010 1:42PM If this is a discarded prototype and never going into production, I don't see why anyone would wait this long to leak it. This could well be a redesigned iPod Shuffle, as the screen doesn't need to be that big to cover all of the Shuffle's functionality. Definitely NOT a mini iPhone as 30mm x 30mm is far far too small. That said, it seems kind of pointless - why put a touch screen on for the sake of it when the buttons have worked fine for years? What benefits does it bring?
Jul 9th 2010 11:33AM @Justin Credible "That's what she said"
Jul 4th 2010 1:15PM @Socalfrank "t's a good thing the iPad is kicking butt"But is it, though? I only know five people who own them and they're quick to point out its shortcomings despite being avid Apple users. It's like the rest of the iPlatform - Apple come up with the original idea, make it all shiny but close it to the masses. Somebody comes along and assembles a similar but far more open and versatile knockoff and the cycle continues. iPad will soon be eclipsed by superior alternatives, I reckon.
