Jan 25th 2008 10:12PM good for him. he has spent an incredible amount of effort building up his audience and attention capital, so why not monetize it for all its worth. i like the fact fastcompany will be redesigning his site too, hopefully they try something innovative with the format, and aggregate his content, since he creates so much in so many places.

Jan 7th 2008 12:47PM Jason, Come to miami a day early for FOWA in february, we'll organize a geek dinner. Or host an open bar at SXSW and you'll meet a lot of people.
Interesting strategy though I have to say, acquire mass scale to your networks, then go back and strengthen those relationships. Hope it works for you. :-)

Jan 2nd 2008 4:30PM I know I may be slightly biased as a commenter on this, but I think your idea of a pro level of service might work, but in the end its slightly off mark. Pro service shouldn't equal higher SLA, it should equal higher flexibility. I.e the ability to get more than 20 tweets from the API, or more flexibility with what you do with your social graph on twitter.
What if they leave this innovation to the ecosystem, and make their money taxing that? let everyone else build the features, and twitter builds the infrastructure to make it work?
J, I've got some great ideas up my sleeve for twitter's ecosystem. shoot me an email. ;-)

Lobbying for friends on Facebook... (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)
Jun 23rd 2007 8:40PM Personally I'm not a huge fan of adding unknown people on facebook. I like to keep it to people who have at the very least corresponded with me in the past. I almost 100% of the time reject friend requests from strangers.

May 30th 2007 8:15PM Mark, does the ufl have a site yet? I can't find it via google. What are the potential markets other than LA and Vegas you are looking at?
Please don't do stupid rule changes like the xfl had. people care less about the theatrics and wwe type stuff they threw in there and more about the quality game.

May 14th 2007 6:08PM I think you should post what premium features you'd want. I have an idea of what I'd like (search, more filtering, groups, etc.)
