Rename multiple files at once in Windows XP (Download Squad)
Feb 26th 2007 7:19AM It was just as interesting when downloadsquad blogged about it a few months ago .... don't you read your own blog? :S

More evidence that Bratz are bad girls (ParentDish)
Feb 22nd 2007 8:19AM Are Brats dolls really any worse than Cindy or Barbie? Remember those stick-thin short-skirted leggy blondes from yesteryear? I don't think they ever did any harm ...?
Steve Jobs flips 180 on DRM (Download Squad)
Feb 8th 2007 4:51AM I don't think Jobs is ditching DRM because "DRMs haven't worked, and may never work". He's doing it because it makes financial sense to open the doors of the itunes music store to all those millions who don't own ipods.
Either way though this is a good thing.
Wii Warm Up: Seriously, news and weather? (Joystiq Nintendo)
Jan 31st 2007 9:21AM Is it just me then that thinks these channels are a waste of time?? I don't think I will ever use them .... much quicker to use my PC instead.
I would like to see the 'games demo' channel, where we can download demos of games for Wii and virtual console ...
Should Al Gore's movie be banned from public schools? (ParentDish)
Jan 29th 2007 8:37AM This actually makes me quite angry. This has NOTHING to do with Jesus and it sounds like "Frosty Hardiman" is trying to brush an important issue under the carpet.
Just my personal opinion but I think this video is exactly what we should be showing to children. Global warming is not a topic schools should shy away from. It's imperative that kids are educated about global environmental issues, so they can grow up to be 'greener' people than their parents.
Only funny because they're not mine (ParentDish)
Jan 17th 2007 8:22AM Ahhh, they painted the TV set and the sofa! How cute!!! ;-)
Seriously, that is the funniest thing I have seen in a while!
Is this father really going too far? (ParentDish)
Dec 7th 2006 6:55AM Looks like harmless fun to me, he's enjoying it and there's no harm in that! He'll grow out of it in a few years.
The Linux Equivalent Project (Download Squad)
Dec 6th 2006 7:49AM There are loads of things missing, here is a much more exhaustive list: http://www.linuxrsp.ru/win-lin-soft/table-eng.html
They've invented "teen repellent." Seriously. (ParentDish)
Nov 22nd 2006 11:31AM "Couldn't we, say, give kids the benefit of the doubt?"
They don't install these devices anywhere, you know. They put them specifically where troublemaking youngsters hang around in groups. Specifically the types of kids that you would not give the benefit of the doubt.
I'm all for it. In fact I wish they would install one at my local convenience shop where gangs of kids in hoodies hang around outside at night. It can be very intimidating! Installing one of these devices might also stop the shop getting vandalised every few weeks.
Parents take crazy baby names to the extreme (ParentDish)
Nov 20th 2006 8:43AM My wife is 22 weeks pregnant, we joke about calling our kid Tarzan (if it's a boy) but I actually quite like the name!
I heard a few years ago that a swedish couple wanted to name their baby Superman but were not allowed to. Apparently he was born in the 'flying position' with one arm pointing up to the sky. :)
