Sony to further delay European PS3 release? (Joystiq)

Dec 13th 2006 3:34PM Ehm, didn't Sony first aim for a november 2005 PS3 release? Wouldn't that make it a TWO YEAR delay??? Hmm... Someone in for a bet on the price it'll sell for? I wouldn't bet under €900; that wouldn't be realistic... ;)

EA's launch lineup (Joystiq Nintendo)

Aug 24th 2006 1:32AM "That's all?"?!
When's the last time (except just now) anyone said "That's all?" at six LAUNCH titles for a console from one third party developer?!?
Sure, I won't play any of these games, bet hell, EA is going a good job en Nintendo has more third party developers leaping on the Wii-train like this. This is hardly a "That's all?"-moment.

ATI on Wii E3 graphics: Tip of the iceberg (Joystiq Nintendo)

Jun 3rd 2006 6:37AM What I think he's referring to is this: though the graphics may be cutting-edge, they will be pretty (presumably even better than seen on E3) and, more importantly: they'll run at a high fps and the games will have short loading times ("the fact that the chip is powerful enough and responsive enough to be there at a moment's notice") or at least be very easily accessable (i.e. the possibility to use natural physics calculation at any point, not just after loading the engine (like in menu's and such)).

And hey; just look at SmaBura and Mario. They look awesome to me, but grapihcs-whores should realize these are 1st generation games. We WILL see even better graphics on the Wii.

Taking a look at Wii pricing (Joystiq Nintendo)

May 20th 2006 8:23AM Sure everyone will buy it at $250. But we all know it's not going to be over $200. And over here in the EU, it is, of course, going to be the same amount, only in euro's. So we'll have probably a $200 Wii for about $250. That is, if Nintendo doesn't decide to do it right just this once. It would be sweet if it came out for ?170-175 or something! Then Nintendo would REALLY be kicking ass over here in europe.

Mario site is updated yet again (Joystiq Nintendo)

May 19th 2006 8:11AM You know, there still are those of us over here in Europe who cannot play the game (I've imported a few too many games lately; my parets would get mad XD)...

The aesthetics of Wii (Joystiq Nintendo)

May 13th 2006 8:46AM Vewwy pwetty indeed. Are those the three colours it's going to be? Would be too bad. The green revolution (back then, that's what it was called :P) looked awesome! And there was a picture in some pormotional booklet by Nintendo showing Rev. console housings in production. Including a green one. So I was really hoping it would be there at launch. And now it hasn't been show at all :(

Ah, guess I'll have to get the white one, then :P (almost as awesome as the green one, hehehe)

Duck Hunt 2 video (Joystiq Nintendo)

May 12th 2006 9:44AM Giggle! Giggle! I'm one of those guys who just nearly missed Duck Hunt. I'm of the kind that got a NES for christmas when the SNES nearly there (or maybe already there, I don't know). One of those who didn't know about all the different games and just marvelled at the technology of shooting ducks on a tv-screen :D

I sure hope you can unlock some sort of Dog Hunt-mode >D

Anatomy of shame: Dual Shake vs. Wiimote (Joystiq Nintendo)

May 9th 2006 10:09AM Like said before, the Wiimote can sense it's position and orientation in 3d space in relation to the screen. On top of that, it can sense movement and it's speed. The nunchuck attachment has motion sensing, too, albeit only tilting. Wich is exactly what the PS3 controller will have. So, in a nutshell, de wiimote is a 3d controller with a pitching attachment (though the controller itself features that same ability), whereas the PS3 controller is the pitching attachment ONLY, but with more buttons. Simple, eh?

And even non-gaming folks will see through PS3 'innovation'. Most people will realize Sony's been on the immitation tour (x-Bo.. eh PlayStation Live, the new revol... eh PS3 controller, etc.). The PS3 will still kick ass, but it isn't innovative and I'm NOT gonna buy it (come on, 600 bucks; you gotta be kidding me!).

Nintendo of Canada confirms force feedback (Joystiq Nintendo)

Apr 27th 2006 1:42AM Jonathan:
I ddon't think this had been anounced yet. I recall having heard the wired demo-controllers had force feedback, but the wireless ones didn't. But back then, they were just prototypes, so anything could change. And something has :)

EA's Neil Young talks Revolution (Joystiq Nintendo)

Apr 26th 2006 4:23AM Yeah, but he has a point. I mean, no one plays StarCraft anymore, right? Things like that need ?grapihcs that make a normal PC lag! So, the deathBox 360 is perfect! And the controller, come on! That doesn't look like a mouse! It isn't round enough! The 360 controller is round, like a mouse! Perfect for RTS!

( Hmm... Another pool of sarcasm :P )
