Yahoo Messenger added to Mail Beta (Download Squad)

May 8th 2007 2:18AM Sounds like a lot of you want Yahoo! messenger in Yahoo! mail beta. Yahoo! is rolling out the update (very) slowly, in fact only two farms have it now. Luckily for you, this hack will let you get it RIGHT NOW, regardless of farm. Note: this hack even works for AT&T and other ISP users :)

Yahoo! the new AOL homepage looks awfully familiar (Download Squad)

Apr 28th 2007 12:57AM Wow, I remember when Yahoo! made their new homepage; many were calling it a copy of AOL's. That was a stretch, but now the tables have turned and I agree this is practically carbon copy. I wonder if there'll be any withdrawal like when Google took Yahoo!'s IE7 page then later repealed it? I'm guessing there will be in some form.

Google dominates Yahoo in first quarter (Download Squad)

Apr 24th 2007 8:27PM Google may be raking in the dough, but Yahoo! still has far superior services. I don't really care as long as Yahoo! sticks around. From the looks of it they're continuing to make great services and improve existing ones. Unlike google, Yahoo! has services for everything I would otherwise need to scour the net for. Their email (beta) is pretty dam good too (and the latest version really fixes some of the speed issues).

Top 11 Yahoo Mail Tips and Tricks (Download Squad)

Mar 20th 2007 2:35AM Betty) Wow, that's pretty amazing someone told you Y! did not support Firefox. Those people at support are not always as knowledgeable as they should be.

JCP) You CAN select multiple addresses, just use [ctrl] to select individuals, and [shift] to select chunks (and combine the two). If this sounds confusing check out the Y! mail beta overview and click "selecting messages".

Top 11 Yahoo Mail Tips and Tricks (Download Squad)

Mar 17th 2007 3:34AM 1)I use it in Firefox, it is officially compatible in Fx, it works well (although not quite as fast as in IE) in Fx. If you have trouble with this, try updating, clearing your cache, and running in safe mode. Extensions and old extension pieces can be problematic.

2)For an odd reason, Plus users as well as ISP users (me) do NOT have the click-able random "subject" button.

***One BIG shortcut that's hard to discover on your own is the ability to drag a message's tab straight to a folder when the message is open in a new tab. I believe this is the most useful, most easy to miss trick Yahoo! mail beta offers!

Yahoo! knows what's best for you (no really) (Download Squad)

Mar 10th 2007 10:30PM Very helpful, great that it adds support for other Y! betas (bookmarks, tv). A little on the slow side, this should be improved. Also, the auto-list of Y! services is kinda nice, but I'd really appreciate a custom list as well! Also, looked horrible in my old "sports" theme, the new color choices are great, though!

I used to use My Y! but had to switch when the new yahoo.com rolled out, but now I think I'll be able to jump back to my Y! Yahoo! mail beta is becoming a good home as well, as it shows weather, feeds, calendar, contacts, not to mention mail!

I'm glad (and surprised) that Y! provided this service to AT&T as well as plain Y! users!

Mapping Addresses in Yahoo! Mail (Download Squad)

Dec 18th 2006 3:27PM Too bad this feature is NOT implemented in Yahoo! mail beta. Why would Yahoo! create a new feature and only put it in the dated Y! mail classic rather than the new beta test???

Can I get on the Yahoo! Photos Beta? (The Unofficial Yahoo Weblog)

Jul 1st 2006 1:13AM I just checked and its official: EVERY Yahoo! us account gets the link to the photos beta, EXCEPT at&t users :(

I HATE that they always give us the best new services late, if ever. Thankfully, a few people have been corteous enough to post the sign-up URL. It works perfectly, but i never would get access without hacking with the URL.

Yahoo! I worship you but you NEED TO STOP holding out on the services for us paid at&t users. We should be treated with the same access level to these new features as you give mail Plus accounts!

10 Business days later - Where's my Yahoo! Photos Beta? (The Unofficial Yahoo Weblog)

Jul 1st 2006 12:47AM WUHU i got Y! photos beta!!!

Yahoo! didn't give me the invite but i hacked in anyway . If u want it just sign yourself up at . Unlike the Y! mail beta hack, this one works for us at&t users.

I don't have a cell phone and when i signed up it warned me of waiting the 10 buisiness days, but to my surprise Y! photos beta was running perfectly in about 10 seconds!

Editing is working fine for me, runs very fast, works perfectly in Fx 1.5, thanks Yahoo!

Y!'s really getting in a lot of beta testing currently. These world class services are the best of the web...

I turn on my pc and check my mail on Y! mail BETA, I chat with friends on the new Y! messenger BETA, I look for that cool site i was on last week with Y!'s My Web BETA, i get directions on Y! maps BETA, and now i store some pictures on Y! photos BETA :)

Yahoo! Messenger Gets Gamechannel Plugin (The Unofficial Yahoo Weblog)

Jun 29th 2006 12:52PM It comes standard on the featured plug-ins list, just click [plug-ins] in Y! msgr and there it is, no searching necessary ;)
