Massively Exclusive: Star Trek Online announces EU relaunch, double XP weekend (Massively)

Mar 29th 2012 10:49AM @MickieeMack http://startrekonline.com/node/3018 Apparently the localization of the game wasn't complete.

The Daily Grind: What's your most embarrassing mistell? (Massively)

Jan 6th 2012 11:22AM Wasn't actually a pure mistell, but I had taken a couple of screenshots of a new costume and had forgotten to hide the chat UI in one of them. Was a bit awkward, but luckily it was only shared with a couple of people, and they didn't give me too much. I removed that screenshot pretty quick, though >.>

The Daily Grind: Which MMOs would you marry, kiss or kill? (Massively)

Dec 21st 2011 10:35AM Marry - I'm married to CoH. It was my first MMO, and I've been subscribed to it since a month after launch. I've tried others, and I just couldn't replicate whatever magic was there. I just can't cancel my sub, even though I'm barely playing these days. Incarnate stuff has actually been a big disinterest for me, but it was only speeding me up on a road that I had already been traveling on I'll count Minecraft in here, too.

Kiss - STO and DCUO. I'm a big trek nerd, and love the concept of this MMO. Played it at launch, and it was OK. Little rough around some of the edges, but the story hooked me for a couple of months. I keep meaning to go back into it (have 2 retail codes that I got for cheap a while back), and I'm looking forward to the F2P launch.
DCUO was another where I enjoyed the story, hit 30, and then basically stopped. I'm just not a fan of the repeatable endgame stuff, I guess (which has me questioning MMOs at this point, actually).

Kill - If I absolutely need one, it'd probably be WoW, but I've never actually played it myself. I'm jealous of the Development budget, jealous of the subscriber numbers, the awareness, etc. Also, again from the people I hang out with that play, they're always going on about the dailies, raids, etc. Just not my thing.

The story of saving APB (Massively)

Oct 31st 2011 2:01PM "which barely had 130,000 registered users at the time of its shutdown last year."

Man, I'd hate to think what they'd do to something like City of Heroes

May 3rd 2011 11:30AM I noticed that too. AFAIK, they were only available as an addition to the order if getting a machine. (magic mouse + trackpad)

A Mild-Mannered Reporter: In the case of Controllers (Massively)

Apr 14th 2011 1:05AM Confuse is an amazingly powerful control effect. It's sad to see that you've discarded it.
