Native Instruments' Audio 2 DJ claims to be 'world's smallest' USB audio interface (Engadget)

Jul 23rd 2009 12:14AM Sweet I could use this on my laptop at gigs and for recording. Yes I am a digital DJ that started out playing "traditional turntables" but switched to the Torq Exponent because of cost for records and general upkeep of a turntable and mixer . I chose the exponent because it can be used just like a turntable and mixer without all the headache and you get the convenience of the VST plug ins and remixing on the fly that you can't do with a traditional setup. Digital DJing is the way of the future, yes you can have it auto beat match but that is all it can do. I don't use the feature because: 1 it doesn't sound right and 2 to me its cheating because any real DJ SHOULD KNOW how the beat match and all of the other skills that are required to mix. So yes DJing is an art and you are creating music just like any other musician is.

Pirate Bay owners announce give-and-take model, proclaim "filesharers are our best friends" (Engadget)

Jul 19th 2009 7:07PM Oh I feel you on that I use other means as well. But what I was saying earlier is Demoniod is not a good site to get an idea of a private tracker. They pose as a private tracker but are really no better than IsoHunt or The PB and you are right the layout is shitty. The real trackers you can't just ask for a invite or wait for open reg day. They or someone has to send you a invite and they are much better on layout and speeds. Your explanation was great to me but I also know what your talking about and have been in the I guess what you call the scene sense the days before Napster. Lets hope he and other people understand what you are talking about and can have there eyes opened to the true meaning of a free internet.

Jul 19th 2009 5:59PM For someone who hates private trackers and the scene that was a well written explanation of what a torrent is and the trackers and clients that use them. Good job! lol

Jul 18th 2009 7:51PM My point was not talking about the scene you tool. My point was the private trackers have much faster DN speeds and get the files you are looking for quicker than the public ones.

Jul 18th 2009 7:32PM Demonoid? You gotta be kidding me that site sucks. They are not a true underground private tracker. They have shitty DN speeds even if you are UL over a mb a sec and have a high ratio. Plus they have open invites on the weekends. Not a true private tracker. The real sites you only get a account by invite only and they are super fast DN speeds and Scene release's that are anywhere from 6mths ahead to 2 weeks ahead of retail releases. Like revolutiontt for example.
