Using smart folders in Apple's Mail (TUAW.com)
Jun 14th 2005 5:01PM One thing I miss in Mail (which Outlook, Thunderbird, and every other mail client I've ever used) is the ability to set a delay on the number of seconds a message is selected before it marked as "Read". When a bunch of mail comes in, I often want to quickly flip through it (via the arrow keys) to see what's most pressing -- in other mail clients I can set it to only mark it as Read if it has focus for, say, 5 seconds. That lets me quickly flip through without losing the Unread status I rely on to know what I still need to look at later. In Mail, a message is marked as Read instantly. Anyone else find that annoying?
