Website Review: Swaptree - An Online Book Swap Meet (Gadling)
Apr 16th 2007 7:43PM I would love to try this out as well :)
VIDEO: Lambo LP640 rocks! (Autoblog)
Nov 13th 2006 10:06PM I would have loved this if I could have made it past the first half. The sounds from the car were awesome but you had to listen to that swill to get just a taste every now and then. What a shame. If that was music, I'm hoping it was from South Park.
Another Chinese automaker wants in on U.S. (Autoblog)
Jun 26th 2006 9:26PM This is a little off-topic, but did anyone else notice that the lower front fascia on that SUV is a straight copy from the first generation Lincoln Navigator?
I think it will be nice for the Chinese manufacturers to start selling autos here. That way the rest of the world's auto companies can sue their state-side distributors for blatantly ripping off every idea and body line of every car I've seen out of them thus far. It's the only way anyone will be able to get some sort of financial settlement for thieving design.

New York Auto Show: Acura RDX production version (Autoblog)
Apr 12th 2006 12:52PM Hideous! The front overhang looks like the designers were copying Buick. The whole thing looks like a badge-engineered Pontiac Vibe or Toyota Matrix, and not a very good one at that.
Mazda unapologetically Googley-eyed over Pontiac (Autoblog)
Feb 1st 2006 12:02AM I could be wrong, but it looks like a lot of people are missing the point here. This isn't a vehicle comparison, this is dirty play with internet marketing and it's sad. Why doesn't Mazda spend money on their own marketing campaign instead of squatting on Pontiac's? Also, doesn't Google have safeguards in place to prevent people and companies from buying AdWords that contain trademarked names? Google better get its ad reviewers on the ball or GM will sic its attorneys.
Automakers urged to develop plug-in hybrids (Autoblog)
Jan 25th 2006 12:17AM I'm as big a car nut as the rest of the folks on here. I mean why else do we visit but to look at exotic cars and machinery that's way too expensive for most of us - not to mention what the wife would say? The thing that interests me in any hybrid, alternate, electric(?) vehicle is the opportunity I might have to keep my 100% American dollars out of some slimy OPEC petroleum pusher's pockets. I would be happy to see something as simple as a gas station that sold only American and Canadian fuel, but we're not going to get it because the prices wouldn't be competitive. Also, you can't pick a station because they all pool their reserves. So no matter how much you may hate Venezuela's politics, you have to buy their gas. It's time we started fighting back. Use your Porsches and Hemis on the weekends and let the Chinese become the next slave to oil. We have to move on - there are smart car people everywhere and they can make anything fast as long as we show we'll pay for it.
Did the US government get Sony to back down? (Download Squad)
Nov 12th 2005 4:44PM Nice! Now if we can get the government to step in on the oil companies' gouging, we'd be a happy nation, right? :)
Firefox 1.5 hits RC2 (Download Squad)
Nov 11th 2005 4:29PM It might just be me and my set up, but this doesn't seem to be a very stable build. I installed last night when it first showed up on Slashdot and I've had three crashes since then. My normal amount of Firefox issues or crashes in a week? None. If you need your browser to be stable, wait for the official release and skip this beta.
Sony DRM Roundup (Download Squad)
Nov 11th 2005 12:35AM I think one aspect of this that hasn't really been addressed is how an executive in a major international corporation can get by with absolutely no idea what PR skills are. This isn't the fifties anymore folks - we will not believe your excuses for wrongdoing without a thorough - believable - explanation. Another question - why hasn't Microsoft taken full advantage of this pr disaster with the 360 launch right around the corner? Have they learned a lesson from the political realm?
