Alton Towers Resort bans loud sex in some hotel rooms (Gadling)

Jul 29th 2010 8:51PM Remember this is the same place that banned swimming trunks.............at a water park!

'24' - '5:00 AM - 6:00 AM' Recap (AOL TV)

Mar 30th 2010 10:51AM Well I thought the writing was good this episode and I still think the show is strong and will be sad to see it go.

Some beurocrats discounting Jack, Jack knowing everything and going John McClane on their ass is what i'm looking for when I watch 24.

'24' - '4:00 AM - 5:00 AM' Recap (AOL TV)

Mar 23rd 2010 11:55AM I don't get what everyones problem is with Brannon Braga, I've only ever enjoyed 2 star trek series : Voyager and Enterprise so I personally don't get the hate; this series of 24 hasn't been the best but I still enjoy it and thought things were ramping up nicely in this episode. I don't like the Dana stuff so far but her being a mole is at least a step in the right direction and don't think its too much of a stretch (in a 24/TV suspend your disbelief way) and I really hope 24 does get renewed.

'Two and a Half Men' - 'Ixnay on the Oggie Day' Recap (AOL TV)

Mar 23rd 2010 11:46AM I just don't seem to laugh much at these episodes now, they need to get rid of chelsea, get rid of jake (he was good as a kid but not anymore) and bring in a new kid; i'm sure charlie must have a few kids out there that he doesn't know about

Air New Zealand thinks THIS is an economy seat? (with video) (Gadling)

Feb 2nd 2010 5:15AM These seats do look great, angles and offsets are certainly what has been missing in premium economy in terms of getting personal space (more often than not i get sat next to armrest hogs, people that sit with their legs wide apart or think its acceptable to read a broadsheet newspaper by opening it as wide as it can be) but is there any indication of the pricing premium for these?; a normal premium economy row has 8 seats, these look to have 6 maximum so i'd be concerned that the price might start approaching business class territory

Greg Grunberg says time slot change hurt Heroes (AOL TV)

Jan 27th 2010 9:57AM I still watch it but it truly is an awful directionless show now, i'd be happier if the makers just got the 4400 boxset and started remaking those episodes with the Heroes characters; 4400 showed the correct way to make a super powered show and i'm still a bit bitter about the cancellation.

I did like the first series of Heroes (although never superior to The 4400) but they made a mistake from the very beginning having Hiro able to move through time - its too easy a plot device which will eventually create hugh holes that cannot be filled and make a lot of what happens meaningless, they should just have allowed him to teleport.

Review: Better Off Ted - Mess of a Salesman (AOL TV)

Jan 27th 2010 9:53AM Has it been officially cancelled then the way people are talking?

Its one of the few shows where i'm guaranteed to laugh out loud during an episode (the only other one i can think of at the moment is always sunny)

Breaking: Air New Zealand to offer lie-flat seats in transpacific economy cabins (Gadling)

Jan 26th 2010 7:24AM I too hate people that recline for the full length of the flight (particularly during meal times) but I need the ability to recline, I think the whole point of the recline is to be able to change your position during the flight so I see no advantage in being fully reclined the whole time, Cathay Pacific have fixed the problem as you slide forward when you recline so the back of your chair doesn't move and you simply choose how to use your own space

Coach cabin revolution -- Air New Zealand adds beds in economy (Gadling)

Jan 26th 2010 3:50AM I'm personally not sure this is the best direction to go, sure I love upper class flights (i generally always fly virgin when possible but normally in economy/premium) because you have the bed, but what makes the bed good is the extra space, not simply lying flat; with these you don't really get much extra space and I see it benefitting so few people that its not going to revolutionise anything. It is possible to get a good sleep in a chair but the focus should be on making the chair as comfortable as possible; staggering the chair design (not like ANZ concept photo) so that everyone has a place to rest their head is a good start and all chairs should recline into your own space like cathay pacific so your reclining doesn't affect the person behind you but most importantly the chair material needs to change, they need herman miller to design the chairs, I could happily sleep in a reclining aeron or embody chair more than I could on these cramped beds.

Apple releases new, slimmer European power adapter for iPod/iPhone (TUAW.com)

Jan 21st 2010 12:22PM In a word, No!

The angular design is to fit plug sockets in certain countries - its not a design statement
