Torchwood premieres with record numbers (AOL TV)

Oct 23rd 2006 7:27PM Why not put it on BBCA ??? BBCAmerica originally said they wouldn't run Dr.Who which they are now going to do. Why should they give(sell)it to Sci-Fi when they can keep it in house on BBCA ? Juding by what runs on that network, they wouldn't have to edit at all.

Dexter: Let's Give the Boy a Hand (AOL TV)

Oct 23rd 2006 10:28AM If you really want to know whothe ice-truck killer is, read the book! Then read the second book!

I think they have done an amazing job of fleshing out and expanding the story contained in the book.

AVG 7.5 Free Edition released (Download Squad)

Oct 21st 2006 6:50PM Until a virus precipitated crash about 10 months ago I was a confirmed Norton guy. Since then I've switched to Avast and never had a problem. Avast is free, updates everyday, looks great and is well designed for both "power" and "new" users.

Dexter: Popping Cherry (AOL TV)

Oct 16th 2006 1:22PM "For instance, he hates funerals. How does a guy like this hate a funeral? Shouldn't this be the ultimate celebration for him?"

I thought he said he hated funerals because he didn't understand everyone's grief. And hated hiding the fact that he didn't care.

Do you think thats it for Harry? Seems like they won't use him anymore. Also I didn't like that he let that kid go. He bought a knife a lured that other kid in to the swamp and would have killed him if Dex didn't show up. I wouldn't think Dexter scared him straight by just grabbing him by the neck and asking for his wallet back. I think we will see this kid again, either he'll kill again, or maybe Dex needs a student to pass on the Code of Harry which is what I thought after seeing last weeks preview...

LaPaglia developing series for FOX (AOL TV)

Oct 14th 2006 8:55PM This sounds just like Brimstone:A dead cop, sentenced to Hell, is returned to Earth by the Devil to recover 113 escaped evil spirits, who he had to shoot in the eyes.

G4 consolidates into E! (AOL TV)

Oct 13th 2006 1:55PM G4 can't die soon enough. Even buying TechTV couldn't save the idiots running this network. They kept their lame programming, dumped all the TechTV content (or butchered it beyond recognition (ScreenSavers/AOTS), added crap like StarTrek 2.0 and they still are failing as a network.

Someone else should put together a new network with the TechTV formula.

30 Rock: Pilot (series premiere) (AOL TV)

Oct 12th 2006 1:10PM Can someone please explain why Tracy Morgan contiues to work in television? This guy flubbed every single sketch he was ever in on SNL, his Tracy Morgan Show was terrible and now he is on this mess.

I went in with an open mind, and Baldwin was funny in every scene, but that was it.

TV Squad's Lost discussion (AOL TV)

Oct 5th 2006 7:13PM I've seen elsewhere that Grunberg "the pilot" was in the AA type meeting Jack followed his Father into. Anyone (you tivo/dvr people) catch this??

Loved the reveal of the Village, the fact that they can contact civilization, and not much else. The show just went down hill. We got no answers and more questions and I am getting tired of Jack/Kate/Sawyer.

Joss Whedon Says No More Serenity (Cinematical)

Oct 5th 2006 10:50AM "early, unfortunate demise" - 12 to 15 episodes is early? I dislike the Fox network after they have killed alot of shows (Profit still bothers me) but Firefly was given a chance.

The entire Serenity saga shows that a SMALL, loyal, vocal group can trick a studio into greenlighting a project which should have been turned down. Box office and DVD sales still haven't made back its production costs. Why in the would would they bother making another?

Jericho: Four Horsemen (AOL TV)

Oct 5th 2006 8:01AM I was looking for the Yankee game, so I missed what Hawkings was walling up in the 55gal drum. What was in it??

I also saw the BBQ coming, makes sense to eat the food before it goes bad, but I also think they should be able to generate some power...
