TAT Home: the gesture-powered 3D home screen your Android device has longed for (Engadget)

Feb 15th 2010 7:20PM Not a fan. This, in my opinion, is a step backwards. There's just too much to do. All the little interface bits act differently. I though we learned that interfaces need to be consistent. HTC Sense (and TouchFLO before it) are consistent.

Also, interfaces ought to be PRECISE. This is very imprecise. Kinetic flipping through e-mail, texts, and albums? Oh god no. I don't want to GUESS where it's going to land, I want to know. This reminds me SO much of the iPod click wheel, which I thought we were past. With the click wheel, when you tried to move to one item in the list, too often you overshot it. It was incredibly annoying, and this is the same way. Also, the alarm clock is a circular interface, which is BAD, just like the click wheel.

Too much candy. I think the stock Android and Sense UIs are good already. WinPho 7 looks good so far, but we'll have to wait and see on that one.

Some 'uh-ohs' bubble up behind the scenes of The Jay Leno Show (AOL TV)

Jun 2nd 2009 10:17PM Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I've always thought that Leno sucked. I've been counting down the last five years for Conan to take over the slot. NBC would be better off not doing this new Jay Leno Show.
